Dwight vs McCaffrey

I watched Timmy play Linn-Mar his senior year of high school. It looked a lot like watching Mcaffery in the Rose Bowl.

Saw him in Dubuque one night, when we was a sophomore maybe? I think it was before he was a huge name, but I walked out of there saying I have never seen a better high school player in the state of Iowa in my life.

He was running around, through and jumping over people. It was incredible

If Tim D. Would of seen the ball like CM he might not seen NFL and if he did it would of been a year or 2. CM is probably 4 or 5 inches taller and 30lbs bigger and just has quick. I love TD but CM is a freak

Loved Timmy Dwight the player at Iowa but this is not even really a debate. The only the thing they have in common is they're fast white guys. McCaffrey is one of the 5 best players in the country and is extremely dangerous out of the back field. Dwight is probably close to him in the return game only but is nowhere near him from the offensive standpoint.

Hayden was calling plays that didn't even exist. This is why we used up our allotment of timeouts in the first ten minutes of the game.

Pain meds are no joke and cancer is a bitch.

I think McAffery is going to struggle this year. last year he was a FREAK and should of won the Heisman. But I think this year he will struggle, They lost some key O-Linemen and their starting QB. I think teams will load the box and try to stop him.

Timmy D was my all time favorite Hawk. I remember being in the stands when he leveled the Punt Retuner from Arizona. probably one of the hardest hits ever! The guy was electric every time he touched the ball.
Good thing for him the pac 12 plays defense like most NBA teams.

I think many are speculating on how good of numbers Dwight could have posted had he been given more touches. It's been 20 years, but Dwight could do many of the same things on the field that McCaffery does. Unfortunately, we will never know how Dwight's offensive numbers would have stacked up to McCaffery's because he was too underutilized in college.

So, I would argue that TD's offensive game is not as far away from CM's as some might think. I still have vivid memories of watching Dwight play at Iowa, and when he had the ball, it was just as spectacular as McCaffery's highlight runs. The thing that made Dwight so special, and there were many things that made him special, was the fact every time he touched the ball it looked like he was shot out of a cannon. The guy had no fear.
