Elizabeth Warren takes big move toward 2020 presidential run

With Biden / Beto you'd be betting that independents and disaffected Republicans crossing over would make up for the lack of enthusiasm from AA (and to a lesser extent, Hispanic) voters.
Seems kind of risky to me.

beto has proven to be a loser and a whack job, my guess is the dems want him as far away from a stage as possible. he is a trainwreck

Darn right, Science is fake and Math is probably fake to Trumpkin!!

To a Trump supporter, facts are whatever you want them to be. If someone proves you wrong you just need to call it "fake news" or "alternative facts" and move on. We live in a post-truth reality. When anyone can go online and find plenty of people who agree with them, they can say they're right, regardless of truth.

...except Beto in the VP seat. He will bring votes and whoever the Dems put up against President Pence could be hard pressed to find a better running mate.
he was proven in tx to be a nutcase and a trainwreck. I say go for it!!

Oh, right, we forgot that the academics always lie.
Didn’t say that. My point was only that you cited Harvard’s denial as explaining away the possibility that she benefited from her identifying as a Native American. I don’t know if she did or didn’t. Nobody will ever know.

She’s no doubt an intelligent, highly-skilled individual who has accomplished a lot. But she’ll never shake the fraud label which is why I think she’s be a terrible choice.

Are you a Trump supporter?

Ah, come on now.. what else would you expect Harvard to say?

So I’m supposed to believe conservatives who say that, even though there’s no evidence and Harvard says it didn’t happen, she received preferential treatment? With absolutely no proof? I believe the head of the hiring committee said he had no idea of what that registry sad. Really?

I believe her made-up story of being Native American, especially her listing herself as such in the law school directory, is disqualifying from an integrity point of view and especially from a political point of view.
Why made up?

After the Trump disaster, America is going to need an experienced diplomat and proven operator in DC. I think Biden fits the bill but I’m worried that he’s getting too old like Warren and Sanders to perform the demanding job of being POTUS. I’d prefer Beto at this point but because of Trump’s failings, I believe we really need someone who has a lot more experience. There is much to be repaired.

Democrats need a "fire up the base type". Independents are going blue in 2020, at least for president. They need to fire up the base to win down ballot races. Particularly state races. Democrats need to win governors mansions and state houses so they can regerrymander the house and ensure control for the third decade of the century.

trump was awesome after the Obama disaster.

Honestly, if it’s experience and stability you’re looking for, I think Hillary Clinton would still be the best choice. From a policy perspective, she’s much more preferable to independents than the Sanders wing.

There’s just too much external baggage.

this is actually true. uncle joe biden is old. beto is a whack job as is warren. I could see michelle gaining traction. castro is a commie from cuba

So far, I want Kamala most. I watched a lot of her during the Judicial hearings and came away incredibly impressed not just by her knowledge and savvy, but by her no fear attitude of going up against people.

Here's what makes the Democrats so stupid when picking candidates...they should have had a Clinton/Obama ticket in 2008, with Obama taking the presidency in 2016. They could have held the White House for 16 years.

You aren't wrong.

And a Biden/Beto ticket could produce the same results with Beto winning the POTUS in 2028.

she screwed up royally and lost and kav got in, so yeah , let's have her!

Okay, then you're allowed to call Warren a fraud. I disagree with you, but at least you're not killing glass houses.
why does everyone who dislikes dems and liberalism have to dislike trump too in order to be taken seriously? that's like saying you dislike the chiefs and the jets so you dislike all of football, and that's cool, but if you hate the chiefs but love the jets you lose credibility about football in general

I was talking more about him calling her a fraud, and Trump is the biggest fraud there is.

ok but some of us don't think that way. he has not been proven to be a fraud.

Yes, he has. He lies daily. He lies about big things and little things. He's so full of shit that it's coming out of his ears. Here's a few for you to chew on: he's lied about his businesses, lied about his contact with Russia, he lied about making Mexico pay for the wall. If you were a true conservative I'd think you'd be horrified by Trump as your leader. The Republican party is a sad, pathetic, washed out shell of what it once was because people like you gave it away to racists, the religious right, and gun nuts for the sake of winning a few votes.

Brilliant woman. Would make a great President. But clearly big business has brainwashed much of America who doesn’t have a clue about her history protecting the American consumer. Banks and white collar crooks would continue to unleash hell, and countless lies, to stop her.
This.

It probably is true that lots of Rs would like to run against her, thinking she will be easiest to beat.

And they may be right. They have been attacking her for a long time. Not as long as they had been attacking Hillary, but probably longer than most other likely candidates.

to my thinking, Biden-Beto would be a very good ticket. Hard to beat
Beto didn't have enough beef to beat the slimiest member of Congress.

I liked him, but losing to a sleaze like Cruz doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I like Biden, too. But his time has probably passed.

Do you think Hillary would accept the VP spot? It's not entirely unheard of. Ford was almost Reagan's VP.

I lived in Texas for 15 years. Losing there is a badge of honor.

Lol. Then you have your head so far up your ass that lump in your throat is your nose.
this is why trump shall win re-election. you guys are more worried about stories that are not true with trump, rather than getting a great candidate. I see maybe michelle gaining traction a little. but none of the others . then I would see trump destroying her in debates.
