Many of us wanted Fran to better utilize the transfer portal after last season to help round out the roster and keep Iowa competitive. Many on here however are not fans of Fran recruiting transfers over the younger guys. Many of you were also happy Fran used a ship on a walk on that was never going to play. I hope everyone now sees why Iowa needed more for this year and how the transfer market can patch holes on your team.

Iowa St won what 2 games last year? Now look at them. Iowa has a future lottery pick on its roster this year but has too many holes to overcome. Keegan likely leaves after this season. Wasted year for the program.

When Fran trotted out a gameplan that was no different than any other gameplan against Wisconsin last night I knew from tipoff we were going to lose. Same plan for every team. The guy can't adjust or change and that includes utilizing the portal to maximize your teams potential.

I'm almost feeling like Fran decided he didnt want to bring in better players thru the portal this year that could potentially take PT away from his kids. Giving Ash the extra scholly pretty much sealed the deal.

Last year's off-season just screamed laziness. Sure, there are things that happened that we'll never know about, and I would hope/assume he tried other things that didn't pan out, but when FR, Ash, and Bohannon are your achievements.....

Indiana is a good example of a team in the B1G with a good mix of returning players and transfer players that is competing with the top half of the conference.

but won’t change the coaching blunder once they get to IOWA
