Excellent Andre Woolridge article from Omaha paper

In 1997, when Andre was the Giant, of the Big Ten, leading the
Conference in scoring and assists, the Iowa offense was really sophisticated. It's secret code name was:
'Clear out for Andre';
Or another name was, 'give Andre the ball, and get the
Bleep out of the way'.

I do remember the talk regarding the scandal about the Iowa basketball players taking a course about Iowa basketball that was not a sanctioned course but the players received credit for anyway. I remember how pissed off that I was that Iowa would even participate in such a bullshit activity. I don't remember the years that were involved nor who the players were. I will say that whoever took the course 3 times and received 14 hours credit must have been pretty pretty dumb. I don't remember any concern about the Final Four team. This did happen though. However, my verifying this does not discount what an asshat Legend12 can be in his gleeful remarks.

The fact it was 81 made him wrong

It seems a little North Carolina-ish, doesn't it? Like we were ahead of the times or something in just skirting the rules, and the Ncaa not finding anything technically wrong with it enough to penalize.

This was addressed in 1977 ... Robbie Benson had no problems admitting the truth. :)

Creating an easy class for athletes vs cheating on legit classes by having someone doing your work seem like two different things. At least someone looking at transcripts would know they were taking an easy class.
