Exhibition Game Analysis

Its easy to forget that at this time last year no one seriously thought that Baer would be much more than a quality practice player who might see the court in the final two minutes of a blowout..... even if Fran had nice things to say about him.

I listened on the radio but I could see Baer hustling for boards and loose balls. His game reminds me so much of Ryan Bowen -one of my all-time favorite Hawks.
Actually Baer seems like a cross between Bowen, and Wade Lookenbill, another extreme energy guy from the way back machine!

Nick looks alot like Wade though a couple of inches taller, and he's put on a few more pounds now. It will be pretty cool story if he continues to step up his game from walk on to quality BIG10 starter.

I haven't seen the stats yet, and my opinions are pretty consistent with the frequent posters. I just have a couple of observations that haven't been mentioned much.

I try to focus on combinations, and individual strengths and weaknesses, more than who will start. Truth be told, I kinda try to imagine the play at the end of a game.

I was impressed with bohannon's vision and confidence. I have already decided I want him at the ft line at the end of the game. I had flashbacks of J. Horner watching him. He had a couple of great assists.

Pemsl's defense and rebounding will probably earn him minutes. He is better than I expected.

I didn't catch what Maish caught hell for, but he has a nice stroke on the offensive end. Long arms with a nice steal on d.

Williams much more comfortable right now on the wing.... and more productive. Cook has the wow factor for sure. Hoping his defense improves.

A lot of potential on the roster. It will be fun to see the development.
