A friend swears he saw a Cardinal player or two in the Milwaukee Casino the previous Friday.
The casino would know. Debit card usage, unless they used nothing but cash. Also, security cameras etc. I just don't know how'd they legally get that from the casinos. The hotels too would have security cameras galore. I'm betting every room may very well have a camera, if it is a modern hotel.
I'd like to know how exactly they got out. From what I understand, when teams have been hotel quarantined, they send extra security to make sure nobody breaks the quarantine.
If it truly happened, they'd know by now who it was. My hypothesis still is the virus got in at St. Louis that first series, before they hopped the flight to Minneapolis - and spread on the plane rides after. The virus has to incubate, and it incubates in each person differently as far as time until it tests positive. Then, you have the ripple effect of players with the bugs still mingling in locker rooms etc with uninfected players, possibly passing it along.
That's why I say - for all we know, the entire 30 man and team support/travel staff could have the bugs in them - and it is just taking time for the flowers to bloom so to speak.
