See below. IOWA is now 1-9 in Quad 1 games.

IOWA is 13th in the B1G when it comes to NET rankings.

IOWA is also 13th in the B1G in WAB.

WAB is new this year and stands for Wins Above Bubble, a metric used in the NCAA's NET rankings to compare a team's performance to a "bubble" team. A bubble team is defined as a team ranked 45th in the NET. WAB compares a team's performance to how a bubble team would perform against the same schedule. WAB is calculated by adding up the number of wins a team has above what a bubble team would have had against the same schedule.

There's a clear line of demarcation after Nebraska when you look at the performance against Q1 opponents. Starting with Indiana all the way down through Minnesota, there's not one serious candidate for an at large bid to the NCAA tourney. The only chance of a bid from that group is to win the conference tourney to get the auto-bid and that's not happening. Sad, but true.

Northwestern's (13-12) remaining schedule is "easy," apparently.

Iowa likely will struggle with its remaining schedule.

I see at least 4 wins: Oregon, Washington, Northwestern and Nebraska.

Could possibly steal a win at Maryland, Illinois has been struggling lately, and Michigan State can be beaten at Carver.

I doubt the Hawks can go 7-0, but would not be surprised if they win 5 or 6. That would put them solidly in the NCAA Tournament. Especially with at least 1-2 BTT wins.

Last night proved Fran and the boys are all in. They will be playing hard the rest of the way and will be tough to beat.

Winning at Maryland would shock me more than any win I can think of in recent memory. Queen and Reese should feast all day long. Then again...so should've Harper and Bailey. Yeah, that's a win.

Illinois has won 4 of their last 6 games, and they are the #1 rebounding team in the country. I guess that's "struggling lately" if you squint...anyway...we've lost 6 of the last 7 matchups, and we've won twice in Champaign in the last 25 years. So.... That means we're definitely due. Book that W as well.

Bottom line: we are peaking at exactly the right time. 7 and f*cking 0, baby!!!
