Federal Judge: Desantis broke the law when he fired Hillsborough State Attorney

Hilarious. Judge dismisses the case but the story is the law was broken. Did the judge forget their role?
No. The judge did exactly what he was supposed to do. Acknowledge that laws were broken but at the same time that he did not have the authority to reinstate the prosecutor which was the basis of the lawsuit. It is as simple as you.

Exactly how does Descumbag have the authority to dismiss an elected official?
Well, this particular one is a Democrat who was targeted after orders by the administration to find one they could go after. Secondly, he's an authoritarian who has the State GOP under his thumb so nothing is questioned. Thirdly, he obviously doesn't care if his actions are ruled to be unconstitutional (as several have been) as long as he can stick it to the Libs and impress the MAGA base.

That's not how it works.

I mean sure that is the 1st grade understanding so that is what you take away. But for people who actually follow the law or pay attention to the legal world it is a lot more complex.
Lol. Your little da that didn't do his job pulled a judge shopping stunt and filed a case where there wasn't jurisdiction. Which underlines hus lack if suitability for the role he got his ass fired for. I guess you missed the part where the judge said DeSantis had enough to fire him.

The case was dismissed with some snarky comments by a judge that means literally nothing other than feeding idiots like you a headline. Which us exactly why this case was filed in this setting. The judge can run his mouth bur nothing he said carries any legal weight at all other than case dismissed. Nothing

You are schmuck

Warren should know about such things. He chose to publicly state he wouldn’t enforce a law he didn’t agree with. He didn’t have to; he could have just quietly ignored it and drug both feet. It happens, right?
Does no one else wonder why he wanted to use his position to oppose the law? He could have resigned...

Why do Republican sheriff's and prosecutors do the same thing with gun laws??

This whole announcing you are going to ignore the law thing cuts both ways. I'm pretty sure there are some in DeSantis's own state who have done this. Why doesn't DeSantis go after them?

Please explain to me how you find this different and why DeSantis hasn't removed them from office.

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott says he and other sheriffs have a right to not enforce laws they don’t agree with.

“We don’t currently enforce laws based on what someone else tells us to enforce,” Scott says. “We deploy our resources—precious, by the way, resources, in this economy—the way we see best to preserve the peace and dignity of the community that we are charged with.”

Me waiting on Goldy to acknowledge DeSantis' hypocrisy.

According to a ruling from U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) broke the law when he dismissed Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren over vague accusations that he was not prosecuting crimes that the governor deemed important, reports the Miami Herald.

The controversial Florida Republican held a press conference last August to attack Warren and state that he was being relieved of his duties.

In a sharply-worded rebuke on Friday, Hinkle, a federal judge, bluntly stated DeSantis was in the wrong.

In his ruling, he wrote, "The allegation was false. Mr. Warren’s well-established policy, followed in every case by every prosecutor in the office, was to exercise prosecutorial discretion at every stage of every case. Any reasonable investigation would have confirmed this.”

But the judge also doesn't have the authority to reinstate the fired state's attorney. Interesting

surprise, surprise, what an idiot.

🤣 🤣 🤣 A Federal judge made a ruling! It's not like an op-ed in the paper. So, we are now to question every ruling made by any judge appointed by Trump or any other Republican president as being politically biased?

You are as predictable in your defense of DeSantis as the sun rising in the east!
You saying you don’t already question every ruling made by any judge appointed by Trump?
