Add lightning to the list of things that make it hard to judge Spencer Petras
why? the defense was lock down, and the offense changed some up. they stretched the field, they had some big plays. they showed at least a little life.

Agree. No reason to feel worse. But Nevada's defense is terrible and undisciplined. I'm not super encouraged about the offense.

Play restarted for like 5 minutes, Nevada converted a 4th and 2 with a favorable spot and then got sacked and ran for a loss. 3 and 22 around the Iowa 45 when it restarts.
Agree. Game delayed with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and we’ve scored 17 points. Defense again looks outstanding and set up two short field touchdowns. Offense was serviceable but on pace to score 27 points is not an exciting outcome against Nevada.
Let that soak in…on pace for 27 points against Nevada…
A lot of grousing but I thought they looked improved. Sure the opponent has a lot to do with that but they at least looked passable on offense. I’ll choose to believe actually using 4 WRs is helping.
Nevada has an incredibly bad defense and we are middling around with a 17 point output. So many receivers open. So many missed chances. Lets not kid ourselves. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio St all beat this team by 50..plus....My goodness are we hapless. Lets pray KJ2 is the real real so we can build on him and Stevens.
Joey Labas played, avoided a sack and had a beautiful 40 yard pass, that went for a 70 yard TD, but called back for a phantom hold. Then the weather delay again

I think he meant they would hang 50 on Nevada. Not that we will lose by 50.
