This season is 12 episodes and then I think there is a second final season of 12 more episodes.I need to rewatch Rogue One, it might go #1 on my list as far as movies. I really hope they have a season 2. The great thing about Andor, and I cannot say this about any of the movies or other series, is that I appreciate the Star Wars story much more. Actually knowing what the Rebels were fighting for without the pending doom of a planet killer.
Loved the episode. Obviously with rogue one he makes it, but without spoilers, it will be interesting how they actually escape from the grip of the empire.Absolutely the best Star Wars we've had since Empire. I'm holding off on rewatching Rogue One until this is over then I'm going to throw it in. Rogue One is #2 on my all time Star Wars list.
Wasn't the writing and acting just spectacular?Loved the episode. Obviously with rogue one he makes it, but without spoilers, it will be interesting how they actually escape from the grip of the empire.
Agreed!Wasn't the writing and acting just spectacular?
"What are YOU sacrificing?"
And Luthen's response was the best writing of the show yet, IMO.
Kino's monolog was great too!
I don't understand the context of this gif, as you did not quote anyone. Do you not find Andor to be entertaining?
I hear what you are saying, but I think they show a lot of that stuff to build "realism" into it, to the extent you can in a star wars franchise.I am enjoying Andor but sometimes the scenes drag for no reason other then to chew time. As with the last episode, it takes forever for Andor to climb up the jail balcony, and then with one small nudge/kick he downs a guard, steals the blaster and in a new burst of energy engages all.
After this I was concerned when they all started jumping in the water, that we were going to have to watch 2mins of swimming.
I love the pacing on the show because it builds tension and establishes stakes. Also the characters are allowed to develop narratively and aren't simply black hat/white hat. The action scenes are arguably the weakest element. I don't think Luna is particularly good at this time of performance. On the other hand they feel more grounded and not as ridiculous as other Star Wars media.I am enjoying Andor but sometimes the scenes drag for no reason other then to chew time. I guess it’s a desire to see a faster pace then drawn out for tv episodes. (Except the return of Luke in the Mando series, they could have extended that as long as they wanted.)I hear what you are saying, but I think they show a lot of that stuff to build "realism" into it, to the extent you can in a star wars franchise.
I do really enjoy the characters in this show. Other then Obi-wan, his series’ characters were kinda “issued” to you. Here’s what you get, take it or leave it. This series does a much better job.I love the pacing on the show because it builds tension and establishes stakes. Now I am more confused than before. What does Stacey Abrams have to do with Andor?Stacey Abrams makes cameo appearance on ‘Star Trek’ season 4 finale

That would be a crazy twist! My crazy theory is that Luthen has another persona and we are going to find out that he is Uncle Harlow.

I was tired and in a bad mood last night but I thought this episode was just okay. Perhaps if I viewed it at another time I would have thought differently.Luthen is a bad ass.
Wasn't as strong over-all, but the scene with Luthen was pretty great.I was tired and in a bad mood last night but I thought this episode was just okay. Perhaps if I viewed it at another time I would have thought differently.
It was just an "ok" episode.I was tired and in a bad mood last night but I thought this episode was just okay. Perhaps if I viewed it at another time I would have thought differently.
It's a set up episode so I am not surprised it is a little weaker. I'm not sure they will be able to beat episode 10.I was tired and in a bad mood last night but I thought this episode was just okay. Perhaps if I viewed it at another time I would have thought differently.
Does Luthen have a light saber? That was my interpretation when he is searched by Sal's guards but others seem to think it isn't.Wasn't as strong over-all, but the scene with Luthen was pretty great.
No, I don't think that's what that was. I assumed it was a sort of telescoping staff or maybe it uses some type of laser tech like his ship's when he did that somersault technique (which was awesome, BTW).Does Luthen have a light saber? That was my interpretation when he is searched by Sal's guards but others seem to think it isn't.
At first, I thought it was, but then I was like is it just a telescope? Not sure exactly.Does Luthen have a light saber? That was my interpretation when he is searched by Sal's guards but others seem to think it isn't.
Once the heist was successfully completed and Andor left with his credits, Luthen put Andor on a hit list and appointed the cousin chick (and her lover) to track him down. So that is where she learned his true identity.I have a question for someone with a better memory than me.
Mon Mothma's cousin chick goes to Luthens shop and talks to the chick working there. She asks specifically about Casion Andor. How does she know that name? "Clem" didn't ever give her his real name did he? I don't feel like watching every episode again for the answer. Lol
I just assumed with a galaxy-wide "APB" put out by the ISB, she's figured it out by now. I admittedly may have missed something, though. I recall Skeen digging through "Clem's" stuff at one point. Did he find something?I have a question for someone with a better memory than me.

The Luthen fighting the tractor-beam scene was top-notch. When the light-saber beams popped out to destroy the two tie-fighters - holy shit!Wasn't as strong over-all, but the scene with Luthen was pretty great.
Wait, Luthen put Andor on a hit list? I thought he was his prized recruit for the resistance?Once the heist was successfully completed and Andor left with his credits, Luthen put Andor on a hit list and appointed the cousin chick (and her lover) to track him down. Yes sir! A “loose end”Wait, Luthen put Andor on a hit list? I thought he was his prized recruit for the resistance?
I must have been drunk when I watched that because while I recall it now, I was not sufficiently outraged at the time.
