Five Guys overtakes In-N-Out Burger

With 5 guys you kind of need to get in and out, or it just leads to a break down in group cohesion. Orgies require a fair bit of choreography.

When I went out to the rose bowl I got an in and out burger, just to get a comparison. IMO, there was no comparison, 5 guys is much better. I don't even think 5 guys is amazing, but if you're going to compare just those two...save the time and just go with 5 guys.

I think I went to an In and Out once when I was in Cali. We don't have them here. We do have Five Guys though. Although they seem to build only in shopping centers. So if we are ever going out specifically to eat or do something other then go to that shopping center we never want to get five guys because it feels stupid to fight the traffic of the shopping center just for some five guys.

My memory is not good enough to do a comparison between their burgers.

I wouldnt eat at 5 guys if it was free.

I'd eat the burger but I wouldn't touch those fries.

Is there a fry that is good cold?
No, but In-n-Out is different. They only fry them once, not twice like most places. They are awesome if you eat them immediately. They are worse than cardboard if you eat them a few minutes later.
I love them, but I eat them immediately. Eat them all, then the burger.

I didn't know it was the norm to double fry. I learn so much here.

Agree with other posters, 5 guys is stupid overpriced. Neither place is all that great.

That's the way I feel about Zombieburger but I realize I'm probably in the minority position with that opinion.

There's a small franchise in Austin Texas that I really like called P. Terry's. Good burgers, thin shoestring fries and solid milkshakes. U eat there every time I'm in town.

No, that is why I always get pissed that in and out fries go cold so quickly. If you take the time to unwrap your burger your fries are no longer edible.
Frito lay needs to convince more of these places to offer chips. It sounds like fries are a big source of drama.

I've never eaten at an In-and-Out, and I've only been to a Five Guys once, so I'm pretty well qualified to comment.......I found the Five Guys to be OK, grossly overpriced, not sure what the big deal is.

Never had either one. Am I better off with a burger from Hardees?

the fries are awful, unlike the animal style fries at in n out.

We have a local burger joint named Tops and their fries come in a sack like this. Their motto is "Tops, home of the greasy sack".
