Tim Walz Mulling Presidential Run in 2028 - "Do Whatever It Takes"

I can't even conceptualize how the Republicans move away from maga. Last I looked there was a poll that had Don Jr as they're favorite.
without trump’s powerful persona i don’t see an alternative in that space who can commandeer a following…i feel like trump’s a kaleb johnson type player very rare. we’ll see however

Why would we? It's been three straight wins

The part I can't see is how enough of that base turns back to a more standard Republican. After these four years I am guessing a lot more people will be repulsed by Republicans.

There is no moving away from it. MAGA is the Republican party now. AND THE DAMN LIBERAL DEMONCRATS ARE TO BLAME FOR IT

"Look, I never had an ambition to be president or vice president. I was honored to be asked," the Minnesota governor told "the New Yorker Radio Hour" on Sunday. "If I feel I can serve, I will. And if nationally, people are like, 'Dude we tried you, and look how that worked out,' I'm good with that."

"If I think I could offer something … I would certainly consider that."
I’d donate to his campaign

Dems need to go all in on The Rock.
Why? Why does anyone think this is a good idea? What about The Rock says, "I can get legislation through Congress". Remember, he can't use the People's Elbow on the Speaker of the House.

OMG. This is a prime example of dems not seeing what everyone else sees.
Why Democrats? Walz thinks he can run. That's why we have primaries. If he wins there then you can accuse Democrats of whatever you are accusing them of. Until then, it's just Walz.

fewer things are more pointless in american politics than trying to decide who's going to run in 2028 in March of 2025

Well, it makes more sense than trying to pick the CFB rankings 5 minutes after the current season just ended. But you are probably right about the accuracy.

Why would the Dems go with “reasonable”? Why not follow the Republican model and find a grifter, felon, cheat and a liar for their candidate?
I get the sentiment. But let’s face it, the Dem base is not nearly as stupid, heartless, gullible, or deplorable as the GOP base.

And GTFO with people like Walz. JFC we have talented people. Why are Dems so drawn to mediocrity when choosing candidates?

They need to find a qualified candidate who WANTS to be President. There are folks who wanna be President but most of tgem are not qualified. (That doesn’t mean they can’t win…look who is the current President!)

For Dems the do. I mean Republicans will just make up skeletons just so they can make them matter.

Tim Walz put tampons in bathrooms and Fox news acted like he pissed on George Washington's grave.
Tim Walz saying he served in combat was pissing on George Washington's grave.

Those tampon machines in boys bathrooms really did it for you, huh?

Flip flopping on policies didn't stop kamala, though she didn't go through a primary bc the left hates democracy unfortunately.

Shapiro is the only name I've seen the dems throw around who I think might have a chance actually.
Democrats don't like jews, and they don't want to upset the Muslim voters. Harris proved that by selecting a moron like Walz

I like the guy, but he’s not presidential material, way better than our current POTUS, but still not a good choice.

Outside of the Twin Cities I believe Minnesota is pretty conservative. At least that’s what my son’s in laws all say.

It is mostly very conservative outside of the twin cities and the arrowhead region. Harris/Walz won 70+% of the vote in the two heavily populated counties including Minneapolis and St. Paul, but only won the state by around 4%. Tim Walz is pretty hated in out-state Minnesota, not that it matters because the population base is in the cities.
