Wednesday was bunko night with women. Someone made a comment about the 6 week abortion ban.
Three Trumpster women said, “Florida doesn’t have an abortion ban”

My friend says “yes they do, that was amendment 4”. They replied oh yes we voted “no because it was against the ban”.

Had to have it explained that the amendment that dedumbshit didn’t want on the ballot, was against the 6 week ban. The correct vote against the ban was yes.

Amazing that three supposedly educated women, with teenagers voted no.

It required a 60% majority and only got 57%.
What amazes me is that I didn’t think these women were stupid. Now I know differently.

As an ignorant male, you obviously are not aware of many issues associated with pregnancy. A DNC that they used to do for a miscarriage and other issues is the same procedure as an abortion.

Had they had the archaic laws in 1976, that they have now, I would be dead. I had an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit and was 12 weeks.

It burst and I was on the edge of sepsis.

And, btw, I was married and we very much wanted the child.

We had an ectopic pregnancy in 1987 in NC. Wifey would not likely be around without the surgeon’s help… or perhaps her ovaries would have been compromised and our two kids would not have been born later.

I'm sure many women in Nebraska thought they were voting to preserve the 12 protection to have an abortion because that's the way it was presented, but it does allow for further restriction which I'm sure will come in the next session. I don't even feel sorry for these women anymore, they had their shot of getting it right and passed. We didn't even need 60%, a simple majority would have done it. We will have a heartbeat bill here and they own it.

Why do you think that wouldn't be qualifying?

After 6 weeks, an abortion may be performed if “[t]wo physicians certify in writing that, in reasonable medical judgment, the termination of the pregnancy is necessary to save the pregnant woman’s life or avert a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman other than a psychological condition.” § 390.0111(1)(a), Fla. Stat. The two-physician requirement is waived in the case of an emergency medical procedure. § 390.0111(1)(b), Fla. Stat. And while physicians must exercise professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of a fetus in the third trimester, “if preserving the life and health of the fetus conflicts with preserving the life and health of the pregnant woman, the physician must consider preserving the woman’s life and health the overriding and superior concern.” § 390.0111(4), Fla. Stat.

Look, it’s just God’s will if an otherwise healthy woman dies of something preventable. Which is weird if you believe God also allowed for scientific progress and gifts the hands of surgeons and caregivers
