Florida School Bans Amanda Gorman’s Inauguration Poem After Parental Complaint

Apparently it’s the decision of one Q member.
The Q member didn’t get her way. She wanted the poem completely removed from the school. Instead the school decided to keep it but move it to the section of the library designated for 6th through 8th grade students. You know, kids who are probably old enough to understand what words like benevolent and catastrophe and reconcile mean.

So, only banned to certain grades? Why do you think you are proving a point? The biggest snowflakes of HORT are the only people agreeing with you.
Do you honestly believe that poem is too much for a 5th grader to handle?

I think the average 8th grader is better able to comprehend the vocabulary than the average 5th grader is.

Did the Q member get what she wanted?
