Great meme, I’ve checked out some of your recent posts and I can see you like to complain. Not surprised you don’t like following the rules.
But, I do follow the rules, dumb ass. I just think it’s funny you like to kiss anonymous ass.Great meme, I’ve checked out some of your recent posts and I can see you like to complain. Not surprised you don’t like following the rules.
What is rule number one? It’s funny you think being polite is kissing ass. But, I do follow the rules, dumb ass. I just think it’s funny you like to kiss anonymous ass.
Did I hurt your feelings? What is rule number one? It’s funny you think being polite is kissing ass.
Not at all. Does this thread hurt your feelings?Did I hurt your feelings?
Not in the slightest. I’m not a bitch, so very little hurts my feelings. Glad to hear that it didn’t hurt your feelings either. Not at all. Does this thread hurt your feelings?
I’m sorry that you feel the need to justify that you are not a bitch. Guessing something happened in the past. Care to talk about it?Not in the slightest. I’m not a bitch, so very little hurts my feelings. Glad to hear that it didn’t hurt your feelings either.

I hope he’s okay. I just wanted to help him open up and talk about what might be bothering him and he left.
You guess incorrectly.I’m sorry that you feel the need to justify that you are not a bitch. Guessing something happened in the past. Care to talk about it?
Runky is the mediocre poster of the year for a reason.Good lord guys. That was ridiculous.
It’s almost to the point of “get a room”
Now, let’s get back to the important stuff.
Rules? What “rules”? There are no rules….this is HROT!Great meme, I’ve checked out some of your recent posts and I can see you like to complain. Not surprised you don’t like following the rules.
Plagiarism is an academic concept. Copyright infringement is a legal concept. They are different, but to a layperson they often seem interchangeable. Its completely understandable that a non-attorney would say plagiarism when they really should have said copyright infringement. I've seen and heard that dozens and dozens of times. I'm not sure why you're busting his balls on the semantical difference between those two terms.Huh? I asked the reason. Kwik said plagiarism, which makes zero sense. Then edited it to copyright infringement. Take it up with him. I'm not the one changing reasons midstream here.
Seriously? You think that they charge a fee to see their content if you come to their page, but they are going to otherwise be okay if you access it freely on a site that they don't own and from which they generate no revenue? So essentially you are saying paywalled/subscriber content is no longer allowed even if you include a link?
Frankly, that's pretty crappy.
For example, I often post a link to an Atlantic article, then include the content for those without a sub. One would think the publications would view that as free marketing/promotion as new readers are being reached who may decide the content makes a sub a value.
Looks like nothing has changed.Seems like it's OK to post nearly all or all of the article with a link. That's what most are doing now.
Instructed by whom? That is not legally enforceable. Unless you are claiming it as your own content. Books, newspaper articles, speeches, movies, musical lyrics are quoted every day.
If one of my posts are deleted or altered, do I have any footing legally?
Damn I had more respect of you as a lawyer to believe you posted that.
I am sure you gave legal footing to hire Jimmy and pay him a couple hundred thousand to lose in an open and shut case.
Rivals can delete anything you post, at any time, for any reason, and the only thing you can do about it is to stop posting.
Would mention that when I say stop posting…I mean everywhere.
First it is in the terms of service that you agreed to by being here…going to be basic boiler plate language that states they can do whatever the hell that want, at any time, without letting you know.
More than that, any original thought, posts that are actually damn good, that you do…no matter how many hours you spend writing it…Rivals can do whatever the hell they want with. Your post could be so damn good that Rivals gives it to the New York Times and the New York Times than publishs it on the front page. Not a damn thing you can do, nor would you be owed any compensation of any time.
All this has been pretty standard for every forum that has existed for the last 20 years+,
It’s funny to me that people think he is a real lawyer. I’d think he would know a bit more about the job.Damn I had more respect of you as a lawyer to believe you posted that.
It’s super funny how many on here seem so uptight about such a small change made to the site (haven’t actually noticed a change).I am sure you gave legal footing to hire Jimmy and pay him a couple hundred thousand to lose in an open and shut case.

And folks here make fun of me because I refuse to “link”? LOL….\Seriously? You think that they charge a fee to see their content if you come to their page, but they are going to otherwise be okay if you access it freely on a site that they don't own and from which they generate no revenue?
More importantly than that though, is its not your decision to make. They own the content, they get to decide what is or isn't appropriate for their business model.
How does one become a mod. I’d lov ta help out.We have recently been instructed to remove all threads that are strictly Copy & Pasted without properly being posted as a link.
If you could please do a link only to the desired article or writing, that would be the best way to get your thread to remain on the board.
Thanks.
Copyright and basic common courtesy. Copying/pasting full articles — even with credit — is theft.I believe it came down from Rivals, and as you would suspect, something to do with copy right infringement.
