There’s quite a bit more. Cardi has supported Bernie and Biden in the past if you were wondering.

How is Peter Pan offensive?

Wet Ass Pussy.

Like, you know. Hard Ass Dick.

It's fun in a strip club.

It's hard to be offensive anymore.

I guess shouting about sexual arousal and grinding about on stage can still get it done?

Both the liberal and conservative camps annoy me on this one. I don't know why we're talking about this song still.

Ohhhhh...WAP. Like when my Nanna goes swimming. Gotcha.

GOPsters shifting roughly back into Victorian mode overdrive. Oh the horror of WAP!

We live in world where we're free to grab any sort of "filth" we can imagine in about 2 seconds on our phone.

Filth is dead man.

Complaining about it is almost a novel act at this point. More novel than most filth.

Filth has no power any more. It's nearly exhausted its novelty.

That WAP was able to elicit any reaction at all over its filth was impressive.

I guess eventually we'll be performing penatritive sex on Good Morning America. (I... think... that's a joke)

But seriously, folks....wasn’t it not very long ago, people were shitting themselves about a pretty tame wardrobe malfunction by comparison? We’ve come a long way in a short time.

The only bit of WAP i have ever heard is a 10 second clip from a tik tok someone texted me.

Weird how we hear of conservatives go on about cancel culture (which they are the ones that frothed themselves up in regards to suess and potatoface) and then continue to be outraged by WAP

Fox News is the main transmitter of the idea that Dr Seuss or Peter Pan is "too offensive", along with the main transmitter of this video that otherwise most of us would have never seen or even heard about.

24 hour a day culture war and outrage machine.
It was the #1 song in America for a month, the official music video has 368 million views on YouTube, and they just performed it live on national television on the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

I don’t think Fox News is the reason most people have heard of the song.

Oh cmon. I'm talking about most of the people who watch Fox News and most of the types who hang out here. But you probably knew that already.

Cardi B would have stayed in her niche and Grandpa and grandma would have only known her through the Wayne's world uber commercials.

Cardi B has zero to do with Dr Seuss, Mr Potato Head, Peter Pan, whatever. It’s stupid to say that being okay with a business making decisions on their own products means you condone what she sings or how she dances. They aren’t even remotely the same.
Plus, if we are being honest, wasn't it well over 30 years ago that Madonna gave the "shocking" performance singing like a virgin while rolling on the stage touching herself?

The entire "sexual shock" act has no shock value anymore imo. Yet, the "family values" people eat it up apparently.

You really think a large portion of Fox News's audience had heard of Cardi B before Fox News aired her performance a bunch of times? My parents hadn't. Now my Dad is outraged lol. Supposedly.

BC they invented cancel culture. (Harry Potter, Marilyn Manson, The Golden Compass. etc) They just hate it being used against them.

It's funny because some people are dumb enough to read that interaction and think Cardi B had some form of "gotcha." A person with class and the ability to communicate a point presented several layers of concern and the other person went for a 30 year old "whataboutism" for something that has already been heavily condoned. Keep on jerkin.

I'm not sure the liberal camp is even involved in this one. It's more like Fox News/Candace Owen for the conservative camp vs. Cardi B.

I didn't watch it but it looks to me what Cardi B did was stupid, I'm not really a fan, but Fox news you would think they would know better than to take the bait and go after this stuff on the "family values" front. Not after they backed Trump for that long and thought his trophy wife was just the greatest first lady ever.

This show's Republican's lack of self awareness extremely well. They still think that they have the moral credibility to take up the family values mantle.

That's the root of my problem with it. It's not that I wouldn't like to see someone take up the family values mantle a little bit even in these situations. The problem is that the person taking up the family values mantle needs to have the moral credibility to do so. And the right wing for the most part just blew all their family values moral credibility on Trump.

If I have to pick a side, I’m definitely Team WAP!

That said, I fail to see what Cardi B did as “annihilating” anyone. Candace Owens, who I loathe, held her own just fine. She just reiterated the points with which she disagreed.

Because stupid people think throwing anything Trump back in someone's face is an instant win. Those people are not very smart.

First, I think the song sucks and the lyrics are lame. Secondly, I think she's trying too hard to be "woke". Thirdly, if this was just another song without the "shock" it wouldn't even be talked about nor played. The only reason people are talking about the song and Cardi and the only reason it is being played is because it is "shock". Lastly, OP is a moron for thinking Candace Owens got annihilated.
