Fran's behavior is counter-productive

Well, that was a waste of time.

I love frans passion he does some things that make me upset at times, but he's one of the best evaluating recruits. The 3 star recruits he has went after that didn't go to Iowa have turned out to 4-5 stars type.

We are finally getting the players now that we wanted and not losing out and getting 2nd in battles iowa will win the big10 in the next 5 years.

Only time I thought he went alittle to far was the Wisconsin game a few years ago, but the officiating was terrible in that game.

We got 3 great recruits coming in next year and this years class has been great! I don't care if people think he's over the top sometimes I love his passion and he loves our state and fans we need to always stand behind our coach he took us out of the dark years of lick and the best years are coming for Iowa.

Only thing I don't like about Fran is his timeouts when we got some guys playing 36 minutes in games he needs to call timeouts and give them a rest towards end of games imo, but other than that I love Fran and his passion!

With his kids loving iowa he will be here awhile every coach has some shortcomings but Fran has less than most.

I don't understand yellers. If you can't get the point across without resorting to screaming at someone, either your point is not good enough, or you aren't good enough at delivering the message. Fran is a smart guy and knows basketball, he should be able to teach/communicate without coming to the brink of physical violence.

i do not understtand
why coaches use profanity. Does throwing the F bomb at players make them play better?

I like Fran....he has passion and fire. He will defend his players to the end. My only fear is that his temper will get the best of him someday and he will do something really stupid (like Bobby Knight stupid). As you get older and you get more leash in your current position your "give a $hit" meter naturally goes down and you progressively get more daring in your actions.
