My group had an 8 pm reservation at St. Elmo Friday night. At the next table was the Rose Bowl Committee.
After I completed my meal I stopped at their table and introduced myself and said if we by chance didn't win the game Iowa would sure be pleased to represent the Big 10 in their bowl and that we'd fill the stadium.
They said thank you and wished us best of luck ! I was wearing Black and Gold. I think I deserve some credit for us getting to the Rose Bowl !!
By the way, I had a great NY Strip at St. Elmo.
