Gabe Arnold interview…

he is definitely a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. he is a heck of nice kid and very well spoken . He is goal oriented which i think is one of his best traits. I love that he recognizes the importance of his family and seeing that quality in the Iowa tradition. I am sure he will only get better as he gets time in the Hawkeye wrestling room.

Please do yourself a favor and listen to this interview. The staff landed a very special young man folks. All Hawkeye!
Thanks for posting. Seems like a great kid. Said he bad surgery in Jan so he is on the Hawkeye path this year. That is a joke made way too soon.

The end of the interview gave me chills and seems like the kind of guy other guys will follow. Hopefully he is the next catalyst for future recruits.

I like Gabe….gotta get him geared up for the Iowa winters. I moved here and my neighbor said one day as he was getting home from his bike work commute in single digit weather, “there’s no such thing as too cold just under dressed.”…haha, words to live by.

He’s already fitting in. 😂. He buggered it at WNO in September and wanted to be the tough guy. Powerade was the tipping point that he knew it wasn’t right. Crazy part? “Surgery” lasted 30 minutes. I’m excited to see my kid back operating with two good sticks. That’s just plain enjoyable to watch!!

👍Likes to study venomous snakes 😂. Gabe the Snake Arnold strikes with venom! Lol, love the kid, impressive young man. He’ll be a fan favorite no doubt.
As long as he NEVER, EVER, EVER uses "Party in USA" by Miley Cyrus as a walkout song again, I would agree. That's what he used his freshman year at Sem's Blue and White dual. That was how he introduced himself to highschool..... To say it was cringeworthy would be an understatement.

You sound insecure. Miley Cyrus is awesome. As Terry Brands and Taylor Swift say "haters gonna hate".

SIAP, but why do several recruiting services have different opinions on where he should be ranked?
Thanks

I'm assuming it's how they have treated the ranking since his injury. I'm not concerned at all on what any of them rank Gabe. This young man is a stud and an excellent fit with our team and the rest of the recruits. Heck, they can rank him out of the top 100 as far as I'm concerned, because he's going to do great things in a Hawkeye singlet and post collegiate. Super pumped about Gabe being a Hawkeye!!

Looking forward to him in an Iowa singlet. Kid is smart articulate and can wrestle. He really has his head on straight and will likely transition well to college life, (especially since he has been a boarding student, away from family and kind of on his own). IMO his humble description of his wrestling success shows a personal standard and drive that will help the room.... and hopefully keep a pipeline from Sem to Iowa. The meniscal tear(s) is not a big deal post surgery -- until he is 50+ years old (not likely recurrent like acl etc) . He is a huge win for the Hawks!

Kid is crazy tough to score on. What weight do they see him at? 174? He just doesn’t look very tall to me but my eyes aren’t the best.
