Only changes from pre-season on offense were to remove David Davidkov and Nico Ragaini.

Only change on defense was to remove Jermari Harris and DeJean added as backup at CB with Castro filling in for him as backup at SS.

Well...that's good news. Both Keagan Johnson and Mason Richmond on the two deeps...that usually means that they are cleared to play right?

Luke Elkin. Hope to never have to hear his name mentioned by announcers rest of the year. :)

Looks good, I wouldn't mind to see the hawks do what Michigan is doing for their first two games at the QB position, between this game and the Nevada game. Hope we see a big step from the tackle position (really hoping someone would have passed Plumb).

All those guys are listed exactly where they were on the preseason depth chart so I wouldn't read too much into it.
So...exactly why do they put this thing out if we shouldn't pay attention to it. It's funny...Van Ness, the golden boy wonder, still listed as a back up DT. I guess there may be value in fooling an opening game opponent about who is where and what.

Yeah it's worth some things. The fact that Ragaini is not listed confirms injury that has been rumored. Harris is due to the 1-game suspension. Kicker seems interesting in that not a OR situation. The rest we will just have to wait and see how they line up on Saturday. Every time the public saw the team this fall and spring Van Ness was at DE and one of the most disruptive players. So doubtful he's really the backup DE. All that really matters is the best d-linemen playing 40-50 snaps per game, whoever they want to list as starting.

Bring on Saturday.

Well , I’ll be honest. If this is accurate, not what I was hoping for other than at least Keagan’s on the depth chart.

I’m guessing the rumors about Davidkov are true.

Not thrilled about seeing Plumb in the starting lineup.

No Dunker which we were hearing good things about.

I’m sure Dejean will see the field at Cash but feels like we’re wasting another great athlete. Either he or Jacobs will be sitting while yet another former walk on safety is starting.

What great athletes have been wasted?

Remember that KF depth charts usually reflect who finished last week's game as a no. 1.

Expect healthy amounts of Dunker, Colby at RT, Van Ness playing every down snaps at DE, and Graves rotating at DT.
What a luxury to have those youngsters to bring in to wear out an opponent for the starters! Look for the 3rd quarter to be a good one gor Iowa's D.

Classic KF with this depth chart. By now we should know these don't mean squat. He basically just took the guys off that we know are out. I would wager the starting OL will be different by Saturday and at the very least will have guys juggling around all game long. There are also guys listed as starters that aren't 100% yet either physically or who have literally just gotten back and may not be in game shape yet.

We will need to wait until Saturday to see where everyone is at. Wouldn't be surprised if the OL takes until late September early October before coaches are satisfied with a lineup. From what I heard they like the run blocking but pass blocking and getting the right guys together has been an issue. Last year they couldn't find the right mix of working parts all season. There has been a lot of shuffling around on the OL this camp.

Initial Two Deeps are for fans to complain about, after that whoever ended the previous game minus any significant injuries and .....for fans to complain about.

Like Blair said, don’t take much from this lineup, it’s not indicative of who will be playing the most. Are you seriously questioning Phil Parker? Also is this your first year watching Iowa football?

Epenesa should have gotten more snaps as a FR and SO. I don’t think he was a full time starter if memory serves me correctly. Fant is another one. Going back Bernstine should have been out there sooner, he had some injuries though.

I’ll reserve judgment on how much CDJ and Jacobs actually play.

AJE had legitimate issues against the run as a FR and SO. 2018 vs NW comes to mind. Also it's not like Parker Hesse was a slouch.

CDJ is listed at 2 positions. As the #3 CB, he may get more minutes than Jacobs.
