Gene Hackman update:
There was a rumor a while back that he had to stop working because of Alzheimer’s. Hate that it turned out to be true. Terrible disease and a terrible way for him to die.
Paywall
That’s very sad."Authorities revealed Friday that actor Gene Hackman died of heart disease and showed severe signs of Alzheimer’s disease a full week after his wife died of hantavirus in their home.
Chief Medical Investigator Dr. Heather Jarrell said it was possible that Hackman was not aware his wife was deceased in their home."
You might want to sit down.He gonna make it?
That’s very sad.
I’m glad it wasn’t some kind of foul play or murder-suicide or anything like that.
Not if they get hantavirus, apparently. His wife dying at age 64 is odd.
I figured most Asian women would die aged 90.
Makes sense since he must of put one of the dogs in a crate inside of a closet due to his Alzheimer’s for no good reason."Authorities revealed Friday that actor Gene Hackman died of heart disease and showed severe signs of Alzheimer’s disease a full week after his wife died of hantavirus in their home.

What I don’t understand is if he had been dead for over a week based off of his pace maker stopping once he died. And if his wife had died a week prior, their family must not of been checking in on them every week or so. That’s almost two whole weeks with no contact. Who doesn’t check in on their parents at that age on a regular basis knowing he had Alzheimer’s?
Hackman had two or three kids that must not of contacted or had people check up on them. If my parents, I’m calling every couple days to check in and if no answer, I’m going there or calling for a wellness check. Will be interesting to hear from the kids and why two weeks went by w/o them knowing about their Father and his condition.
Hackman's kids are assholes.Makes sense since he must of put one of the dogs in a crate inside of a closet due to his Alzheimer’s for no good reason.

He stopped working 21 years ago.Hackman was 95 years old.
That's almost 20 years longer than than normal lifespan...nothing to complain about IMHO.
Hantavirus becomes a real danger down there when mouse populations get too high. The Navajo have known this for centuries. See the 1993 Four Corners Hantavirus Outbreak. Chances of death if you catch it are about 50/50.
Most of the cases I’ve read about out here are from people cleaning out cabins in the spring.Hantavirus becomes a real danger down there when mouse populations get too high. Sad to imagine him shuffling around the house for that length of time…probably no idea what was happening. RIP in peace.
