you can’t always get what you want!
In November and December 17.2 M egg-layers died as a result of avian flu. The egg shortage is coming and will be with us “for many months” according to American Food Markets.
Damn Trump and so much for his getting the price of eggs back to a $2/ dozen!

(I’m just being fair and holding Trump to the same standard as my MAGA friends held Biden to post-Covid…Fair is Fair!)

The price of eggs will be analogous to the border wall that the Mexicans were supposed to pay for.

Price of eggs, milk, bread... It aint going lower, folks.

Y'all got trumped. LOL

They didn't die from bird 'flu', or at least the overwhelming majority of them didn't. Their meat and eggs posed no threat to American consumers.

They were killed because America's health 'experts' are ramping up the fear porn so that America's pharma companies reap the benefits.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Thanks Trump!! MAGAs will certainly vote democrat at the midterms right? Wait until the border doesn’t get addressed. That will get them on our side.

I appreciate the shout out to the Legend known as Billie Jean🍻

So the liberals made up another virus to over reach their authority and kill millions of chickens, unnecessarily, to raise prices on the normal americans?

Sounds about right.

Speaking of 'scared' - do you think it makes sense to destroy an entire flock of chickens if even ONE of them tests 'positive'? Even though the USDA has said no one has ever gotten 'bird flu' from eating 'contaminated' eggs or poultry?

Have fun living in fear of little, invisible, viral boogeymen; on behalf of Pfizer executives and shareholders everywhere... 🙏 🙏🙏

One of these day's I'm going to pick up on this bit around eggs. Haven't been able to figure out what the joke in these threads are. Probably to obvious for my dumb ass.

Because of the spread. Cows can get it too and pass it to humans via raw milk.

USDA has said you can't get the bird flu from poultry/eggs, but if a chicken gives it to a cow and you drink raw milk from said cow, you can? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

How is bird flu passed from cows to people?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Trusted Source, there have been a total of 58 cases of bird flu in people in 2024 as of December 2024.
Of these, 31 of them were associated with exposure to cows. No person-to-person spread of bird flu has been reported.
The people who have contracted bird flu from cows have been workers on dairy or cattle farms. They got the virus through having close contact with cows, not by drinking milk.

CDC estimates that every year in the United States about 1 million people get sick from eating contaminated eggs/poultry.

One million with food poisoning but not a single case of the 'bird flu'.

I don’t care about the price. If it’s $7/dozen then I’ll pay $7/dozen. I don’t buy enough eggs that the price is an issue. My concern is availability. The last several times I’ve tried to buy eggs they only had their shitty generic Kroger brand eggs.

Surprised to see you trust the USDA and CDC

False. Thanks to Trump, eggs will be less than a dollar a dozen on January 21. He promised.

I don't. Just quoting them because they're the 'experts'.
Not yet….
'Not yet' plays right into the fear porn.

Killing a couple million chickens because one bird 'tests' positive (USDA's official policy) is the height of arrogance, paranoia and stupidity.

Even those chickens with their pea-sized brains are smarter than our public health experts.
