Amazing that IU fans were sore on foul #4 on Bryant. That was the play when Woody kept missing bunnies (3, I think). The first time he went up, Bryant clearly got him on the arm, resulting in a miss. Woody got the board and went back up and Bryant got him with the body causing Woody to miss the layup. The ref blew the whistle and that was #4 on Bryant.
Now, if catching a body on the way up was the only contact - yes, that 4th foul was ticky-tack. But that completely ignores the fact that Bryant caught Woody on the arm on the 1st layup, which was technically a "no-call."
Or maybe the ref blew the whistle late. I've been seeing that more and more - refs wait to see if the ball goes in and if it doesn't they blow the whistle. It's stupid - a foul is a foul regardless of outcome - but I think if Woody makes the 1st or 2nd layup, the ref doesn't call the foul.
