Kind of a bittersweet day. I.m.o the best thing for Iowa is Wiscy to win. Yes, they are a Rival, and going to the final 4 will obviously help them nationally. The net gain for Iowa is still greater if Wisconsin can win today and win atleast 1 playoff game. It would completely eliminate the "b10 west is weak" talk that comes up every year. As a program they won't allow Wisconsin to become exponentially better than them.

Its time to accept that even though we play in it, the big ten west is just weak. One consistently good program out of 7 is what it is......big12 north 2.0. KF should thank his lucky stars we got put in the west and its so unbalanced. Not right.

Can't believe I am saying this... but go Buckeyes. If they were to win a national title, that would be alright with me. However, the thought of Wisconsin getting into the college football playoff and somehow pulling winning it all makes me sick to my stomach. I'd much rather have an already inflated program and fan base win it, like Ohio State, than a border state rival such as Wisconsin. I totally understand why Iowa fans would pull for Wisconsin as well. It should be a heck of a game today. Go Hawks!!!

As a Hawkeye born and raised in Wisconsin, now living in Wisconsin with a daughter who graduated from the UW I say Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wisconsin is a peer that we recruit against in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, many other states. They play a style of ball that Iowa could play, but we choose not to because we have stale KF.

I hate Wisconsin and there is no upside to them winning and competing for National title other than we get to become permanent doormat to them. That said, I think they probably beat OSU because Wisconsin Defense is elite + wisky has run game.

I am not disagreeing with the correctness of your post and I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. I am just putting a realistic take on our 2015 near miss to CFP.

WE would have gotten our clock cleaned by Alabama, which they did to MSU. As it was, that Iowa team got wood shed beaten by Stanford. Losing the last 5 bowl games reflect poorly on the quality of Iowa football and B1G football.
