Hillary is scum and her supporters run around like she is a saint. unbelievably stupid.

The goal of this country's voters should be to break Washington and terminate the bureaucrats. The IRS should be dismantled. I don't give a flying hand job about the people they lay off. It's no different that when a business has to lay people off.
The real reason remains the same. I have just never believed the GOP has presented a group of candidates that have the best interests of the country at heart. The GOP, as a Party, have damaged their own image over the last decade.
The fact that I have always been a Dem is a choice based on what the alternatives have been.
I would be willing to vote for a Republican at some point if they moderate and not cater to the far right. Pretty simple concept.

The federal government, similar to most private employers, subsidizes the health insurance for their employees, including the elected representatives and their staffs. The ACA contained an amendment, submitted by our own Senator Grassley, that required representatives and their staffs to acquire health insurance through the exchanges.
The issue is the subsidy the federal government, like most employers pay for that insurance. Normally, people who sign up through the exchange do not get a subsidy from their employer. However, they also aren't forced onto the exchange, like Congressman and their staff. The ACA treats Congress and their staff differently than any other segment of the population.

No, the plans are the exact same. However, they are the only group in America who's employers cannot contribute to their healthcare plan, or at least may not be able to, depending on interpretation. The exchanges are not designed to have the employer contribute. Since they are required by statute to participate in the exchanges, contributions from the fed may not be allowed, and may be taxable, at least according to one interpretation. The was a big to do a year or so ago. Maybe two.
Hillary on the other hand is being supported by , "Prison Cells" all over the country.
I had no idea Prison Cells meant corrections industry. Cons must be jealous because we know they don't have a problem with for profit prisons.

I voted for Obama the 1st run because the other option was McCain. A McCain Presidency meant war with Iran and probably Syria and perhaps Russia, at least in Eastern Ukraine. Also, Sarah Palin was his V.P. and she's brain dead.
I voted for Obama a 2nd time because his opponent was Romney who voiced contempt for nearly half of Americans and didn't give a crap about anyone making under 100K, at least in my opinion.

Not to mention that McCain would have put Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency and Romney's "trickle down" economic policies would have undone all of the good work the Obama administration had done to save the world from a total economic collapse, and to lead the US economy toward recovery while much of the rest of the world struggled, despite Republicans' best efforts to sabotage the recovery.

I make under 100K, and the democratic party does not give a dam about people in my income level. Most married couples actaully start losing deductions once they hit about 110K combined income, so in Cedar Rapids, that would be an college educated couple. The Dems want to penalize people that make 250K and above, but what they don't tell you is that they actually start at around 110k, so that by the time you get to 250K, all those deductions have gone to 0. So essentially, they screw the middle class along with the evil over 250K people.
Don't you and your wife both work for the government? If so, you probably owe everything you have to Democrats, Rs would have privatized you both years ago.

sometimes I think ciggy is actually a republican and he just posts a bunch of liberal drivel that he sees on democrat underground and on msnbc, just to screw with us. we've had people do that before on here. then they change to republican, then to libertarian. it's funny for a while. ciggy has been consistent for a while now
