Gophers looking awfully fast in winter drills.....

2017 Vikings: NFC North division title.

Blowout loss to the Eagles in NFC Conference Championship Game.

2015: Hawkeyes win BIG West division title.

Narrow loss to the Spartans in BIG Championship Game.

Gophers football accomplishments in your lifetime?

I find it quite telling you have to reference an NFL team , while trying to boast about your college teams performance.

I would try to explain how absurd that is, but it would go right over your head Chicken Nugget.

Ah, I'm referencing the Vikings division title because no one gives a schit about it. You have to do more.

Right over your head.

When you follow a program with no history of winning during your lifetime ,it is foolhardy to come onto another teams board and talk about their lack of success.

Imagine Carrot Top chiding Bob Hope. I guess that should go without saying, but like a title of any sort it just kind of is above you. Go enjoy your coach Chicken Nugget, I hear Tuesday is McDonalds night for team bonding. First five in get a voucher to watch his inspirational talks.

After Wisconsin (who has to be deemed the early division favorites until someone knocks them off), Iowa has to be considered one of the top contenders, with solid lines on both sides of the ball, strong secondary, good QB/tight ends, and decent running game. Northwestern lost stud running back (Jackson) to graduation, Nebraska should be somewhat better simply due to better coaching, but still don't have the horses on either o-line or d-lines, Minny will have a new QB and loses some decent defensive players to graduation, while Purdue improved last year, they also lost a ton of defense. Lastly, Illinois is still Illinois...nuf said. So yeah, I would say Iowa will be a strong contender in West.

Solid lines on both sides of the ball.

I could have sworn you had little pass rush and beatched about your oline all year.

Do you have a mystery set of lineman coming in next year?

I think the goofers have enough problems for you to worry about over Iowa’s. But thanks for your caring and obsession.

I certainly didn't do any "beatching" about Iowa's o-line last year (other than some early injuries) they gelled quite well. The early injuries allowed the Hawks to get their young stud book-end tackles experience. Regarding the d-line, don't know if he's a "mystery" lineman, but on the d-line Hawks have a stud d-tackle (Nixon) coming in that Alabama tried to get in on late in the recruiting process. Iowa's d-line will go a legit 8 deep next season, so keeping a fresh/aggressive d-line rotation will really pay dividends for the Hawks. Minny loses some experience on both lines, which weren't even that good last season, so could be a long season for the goofers.

What exactly were your weaknesses last year?

I can't find any.

Yet 4-5

Poor officiating. :) Actually, fairly weak wide receiver unit allowing teams to load the box and unimaginative play calling. In spite of that, Iowa lost a few close games...sometimes ball bounces your way, sometimes it doesn't. At least they beat your goofers. Anyway, thought this thread was about next season...Iowa will be challenging for the West division.

last second loss to 8th team in country
2 one score losses to teams in top 20(1 you couldn't even beat at home and the other flat out embarrassed you!)
Bad road loss to #7 team in country.(but not as bad as your loss)
Yeah, most teams wouldn't lose those games.....right?

Oh well, 2-7 w/ a MUCH easier sched, that's enough for bragging rights......ay?
Are you flecks personal trolling motor?

Our main weakness was playing one of the 5 hardest schedules in all of college football. If Minnesota had played the same schedule, they likely would have won 2 or 3 games.

He mixed up his wording

Meant to say the Gophers are quickly looking awful in Spring Drills
