Not to mention that ISU is currently one game out of 6th and 2 out of 4th in what is a complete rebuilding year where ISU has dealt with injuries to at least 5 players on an already short roster.
If the future is bleak in Ames, I am not sure what adjective describes things in Iowa City?
Have you read this site? It has to be helping Fran immensely in recruiting to see all the support thrown his way and the players way.
First to worst should be the isu motto. Isu is a basketball school. No really it is just ask clown fans. All basketball schools are last in their conference aren’t they?
I would rather be ISU than my whole program depending on a high school kid, the coaches some, and kids they hope commit because they are from Iowa but que sera
ISU is last currently in the Big 12. NCAA's RPI would have them the 8th best in the Big 10.

Let's be honest though. To suggest Iowa St's future isn't looking bright is crazy talk. They have a quality coach, good recruiting class and some high level underclassman getting a ton of minutes. They also have two transfers on the roster right now that will be impact players next year. All of that should give Cyclone fans realistic expectations of getting back to the NCAA Tourney and being in the Top 25 next year.

So when you said future did you just mean this year? Big 12 I believe is the number 1 rated conference in the RPI right now. Big Ten is 6th. I do think the Big Ten has 2 legitimate Final Four teams this year in Purdue and M State, and Ohio State is a sleeper, but after that it's horrible. Big 12 is extremely deep top to bottom. Wigginton is clearly better than anyone we have on our roster right now and it's not even close. If he stays another year or 2 they are going to be pretty good.
