Credit to Fran for getting your guys to adjust how they play. Crashing the defensive glass didn't allow you to run as much as you'd like, but it was a huge factor in controlling the game. I'll have to watch again to see what you were doing defensively that was so disruptive, but our ball movement was definitely not up to standard and we were not getting very many of the shots we want.

Luka from 3 was my biggest fear. That's what makes him so impossible to deal with.

Simply put, we tried on defense.

We are not instinctive defenders, so you caught us on a night where clearly that was the focus.

Purdue is tough as nails....you have a really really good coach and your team is tough as hell. You guys will be a major factor in the B10 race this year and it appears to be for years to come.

Not going to lie, it felt good beating Purdue for the first time in what seems like seven years. The Boilers are a tough and physical team that played a lot closer than the 15-point margin might indicate. Iowa definitely had an off night shooting-wise, and were somewhat fortunate that Purdue was just as off. I was pleasantly surprised by the defensive effort though. I hope they continue to bring it each night going forward.

Purdue isn't getting the love that Iowa, Wisky, Illinois and Sparty are getting, but they're going to cause problems for pretty much everybody they face from here on out. I think they'll win their share of conference games when it's all said and done.

I will be honest, I have been annoyed with your team the last several matchups. Purdue has been a thorn in Iowa's side for quite sometime. Cheers and good luck!
