Many people have tickets for seats that do not exist and so there is a lot of people stuck in the aisle scavenging for a seat etc. I purchased 7 tickets. Sec 123, Seats 15-21. Section 123 ends at seat 117. Many in same situation. Trying to cram, find open seats. A nice gentleman named Troy, dressed well in a suit, tried his best to accommodate and help people. Ticket office personnel trying to get alternative seats for people. Cluster f.

Fault goes both ways there. Yes probably more gates, but don't show up at 1050 either

Our biggest issue was that General Admission people were in our seats and tried to tell is it's general Admission seating...Troy was in front of us but didn't need his help

Lots of confusion.

I walked up to an empty ticket window at 10:30ish and walked into the stadium with no lines at 10:45...don't wait until the last minute next time is the moral...people I'm assuming thought they could drink until 10:50ish and walk right in...

we got to west high at 1/4 to 10, got on the bus and arrived at kinnick, on the opposite side of the stadium from our seats.... just as they were announcing line-ups...missed all of gilman's match, and most of clarks...then to find "general admission" ticket holders in our seats, and we were simply told that they could sit anywhere...and we were out...no ushers/security to be found....very disappointed in that, we did manage to fit in around the area, but I can't believe that was the plan to let gen-admis take seats of ticket holders...if that's they way it is, why did they even issue tickets with seat assignments?....that was the biggest disappointment for the day, otherwise, the atmosphere was great...just have some kinks to work out with the seating...

There was also a fight on the west side and they closed the gates, so I missed the first two matches along with a couple hundred of my closest friends while the police did their thing (apparently...we couldn't actually see what was going on). And there were a lot of people coming back down the tunnel because they had general admission.

Suggestion for the very hypothetical next time: General admission in the north gates. Assigned seats in the south gates. Rope off the dividing area in the concourse. And have staff to direct people. Oh, and a lot more shuttles from West High.

Still a great day overall.

As late as 10:30 there was no wait at the gates. They stressed all week to get there early. It wasn't a joke.

I also don't know how it is the ticket office's fault that people can't read.

I attend every game in kinnick. I know the seating well. We did show up to find we had tickets in seats that didn't exist. I didn't realize the mistake beforehand because our tix were in the student section and I had never sat there before. Would love an explanation from the university.

I think the TO manifest of the seating was off if they were selling tix that did not exist. I don't think those sections 122-123 have as many seats across as 124+ etc but they must have mistakenly listed them 28 seats across instead of 20 or whatever # there actually is.

We went in at 1030. The gates were terribly crowded. Had no idea it would be that bad, otherwise would have gone in sooner. I saw the first match (barely), but my wife took my daughter to the bathroom before we realized the crowd troubles, and missed it.

Had never been to Kinnick before we got to Iowa West at 9:45 and man was it a jam lol.
Only big mistake is I don't think they expected that many going there to park. We stood in line waiting for a bus till a little after 10:00 and we and lots of fans decided to walk cause had not moved much in the line.
This old fart laughing had hard time with the walk a mile and a half but was dam worth it. We watched the matches on the scoreboard till intermission and the fight deal was over and got then to our seats in 124.
They just needed more buses only had 3 just something they had to learn. Hell I could of enjoyed it all day cause found a chair outside sitting in the sun with all the excitement going on watching the score board just so dam happy to be there. Tip my hat to the gentleman who got me and buddy the tickets. Ok long blabbering post when really my only complaint is lack of busess at Iowa west. What a blast it was. Thanks to Brands,Smith, and Luke Eustice and all involved in this event.GO HAWKS.

I missed the first match. We had to pick up tickets for our youth wrestling group and the guy that brought the tickets for all the kids (which were donated for the kids) was about 45 minutes late, by the time we got the tickets and walked to the doors to get in it was 10:50 and we got caught in the crowd in the student section. We always go early and don't have these kind of troubles going to events. My son and I were a little upset but it was only one match and we were so thankful to be at such a great event that we shrugged it off and enjoyed the rest of the meet. Im so proud the hawks were the first to pull it off and get the WIN too.
