Harris: 25% tax on unrealized gains

Besides simply being a moronic proposal, it would be a tax record keeping nightmare

How?

You have your annual tax records of what you already paid (adjusting your basis) in your (and govt's) files.
Seems like something databases are designed to do.

I think his point is that while a client has options of where to invest their $, the option of equities, bonds, etc, that hopefully create unrealized gains, may in essence be taken away from some people as they don’t want both the capital gains and unrealized gains to taxed.
"Most people" do not have $100M in assets.

You should be worried about WWIII, we've gone at least a week without a prediction from you.

The goal is to get to that level then figure it out then. My guess is it will not be nearly as bad for the wealthy as currently construed, even if somehow it got passed. You notice they like to talk about the big bad boogy man the wealthy, but what did they achieve in their first 2 years, not a whole lot.

Trump's anit-Blackrock and centralized currency stances got him put in the literal bullseye. Interesting to see what they do with Harris on this one!

just inventing things now

trump supporters may be skeptical of blackrock, but he sure isnt (do we really think he'd do anything to hamper or regulate real estate investing?)
