Or it would mean he’s really good. Hell if we know. Either seems possible. That would be horrific if he did..

Really?
Given that Wallace has voiced the willingness to try to rotate guys at LB ... more like how we've been doing on the DL ... it stands to reason that they'de need to get everyone in contention to legitimately contribute a chance to play with eachother. I recall that info from an earlier practice also pointed to Colbert seeing a lot of reps with the 1s and 2s too. Colbert is just in his first year on campus ... how much of a 'lead' would he have on Doyle? Mind you ... I'm not necessarily suggesting that they're competing head-to-head anyhow. The point simply being that nobody is justifiably an encumbent yet ... and I'm saying this even though I'm a huge Mends fan!Yeah I don't get this. It would not be surprising at all to see a true freshman play a lot at LB. None of the guys in line to start right now forced their way on the field the last 2 years. Yes, 3 seniors were good, but if a freshmen flashes some real ability they can get on the field. Doyle has been around the program his whole life and is very smart. If he has the athletic ability he could get on the field his first year.
