Have we discussed Coach Prime going to Colorado?

Worked for Archie Manning ... and Eli. :)

John Elway was drafted by the Colts and demanded to be traded. It’s been 41 years so I don’t remember the details. His father was a football coach and I would think was making public statements about his son not playing for a garbage franchise.

I believe he was saying something like he would play baseball before playing for the Colts.

I’m curious to see if prime ends up being his head coach again somewhere down the road.
I'm curious to see what happens when the NFL decides Shedeur isn't a first round NFL QB talent and he slips in the draft - does Deion become a little less picky about where his son goes? Who all will he loudly/publicly blame for it (hint: it won't be his son!)?

You'll never have this opportunity, because he'll be drafted in the First Round.

Probably, but maybe not.

"Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shed light on this during a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. “I’ve already talked to people within the league who don’t have anything close to a first-round grade on the guy,” Pelissero stated. This revelation may come as a shock to Colorado fans who have watched Sanders put up impressive stats throughout the season."

I have no doubt some "people within the league" don't have a First Round grade on him. But there are enough teams with a need at QB (whether for cap reasons or just don't have a great QB1) that he'll go First Round even though "some people" don't give him a First Round grade. I also find the "not anything close to First Round" comment a little hyperbolic. A QB with his talent + production to date is almost always close to a first day pick for obvious reasons.

And for what it's worth, I don't even think he'll be a great pro unless he finds the perfect situation (which I'd assume is part of the reason Deion is trying to influence who selects him).

Lots of chatter around Deion right now. Hard to tell if he’s trying to leverage that noise for more money from CU or if he really may make the jump to the NFL.
I predict the former, but hard to know when his kickstand gets kicked again.

Jerry wants a splashy hire, Deion wants the spotlight on him. No bigger spotlight than Dallas. Seems like a match made in heaven until it becomes a can't look away trainwreck
