Have we discussed Coach Prime going to Colorado?

The Big 12 potentially has a huge mess on its hands. Arizona State just knocked off BYU in a wild finish, which means there are now three teams tied for first place at 6-2. If Iowa State beats Utah tonight then it will be a four-way tie. And Arizona State and BYU are the only teams in that group that have played each other. How the hell do they decide who goes to the championship game if each of them wins next week?

That's easy.
Just refer to the 'game control' metric.

Colorado is laying the wood on Oklahoma State. 21-0 with two minutes left in the half. Sanders is 16/18 for 135 yards and two TDs.

As they should. I’m not sure what happened to Oklahoma State this year, but they’re about to lose their 9th straight game.

Heisman winner, 9-3, tied for conference winner, and hopefully the fun continues:

Not bad in 2 years.

Just one final question… would you have watched the Colorado-Kansas game two years ago?
Yes. I watch a lot of football. Not really relevant to a discussion about Deion being a questionable in game manager if things. LL for Kansas didn’t waiver, and they won.

They caught every break possible last season in getting to 10 wins, and it all came crashing down this year.

I think there’s a little more to it than just that. Gundy has been around a long time, almost as long as Ferentz. And his success level has been pretty comparable to Iowa’s in that span. They’re typically about an 8-5 team with occasional 10 win seasons, just like Iowa. This was their first losing season since Gundy’s first year in Stillwater. So it hasn’t exactly just been smoke and mirrors or lucky breaks.

They were supposed to be one of the top teams in the Big 12 this year, especially now that Texas and Oklahoma are gone. They started 3-0 in non-conference and were ranked #13. But then the wheels just fell off and they went winless in conference games.

Has to be a "culture" issue. The team checked out for whatever reason. Pretty amazing collapse...

Even during KF's horrific 2012 season the team kept battling. For the most part.

During the end of season 6 game losing streak. Lost by 3 to Indiana and Purdue. 6 to a 14th ranked Nebraska.

It's damn tough to even watch colorado with the over the top worship of anything and everything done by Hunter and Shadeur.
Apparently the catch & run to turn a short pass into a long gain was the first time that has happened in the history of football...then a bit later hunter gets flagged for a personal foul that they don't show the replay of to see why he qas flagged. You damn well know that multiple cameras were on him and they saw what he did.

Have they interviewed Prime at every quarter? I don't remember seeing them talk to the byu coach but I've got 3 games on so I might have missed it.

I was surprised and duly impressed that both of them decided to play. It has reached the point in recent years where you just almost expect every high draft prospect to opt out of the bowl game if they’re not in the playoffs.
I wonder if it hurt their capital at all. That qb looked pretty lost at times imo.

Heyyy here comes goldmom with her updates but apparently only when CU is losing 17-0. lol

Go Buffs, look forward to the program continuing to build.
It will be interesting to see if Coach Sanders stays at Colorado. Most of the teams picking in the top 5-8 of the NFL draft have head coaches on shaky footing; wouldn’t be shocked to see Sanders be offered the head coaching job by whichever team drafts his son.

For the record I don’t think his coaching “skills” would translate to the NFL, but I’ve been wrong before.

I will be very interested, over the next few years, to see how Shadeur does in the NFL. I've only watched him a few times, but haven't been overly impressed by his play. He certainly shows potential, but to me he hasn't looked like a guy who I'd take with the first pick in the draft.

I think behind a good OL he will do great. He is tough, has a good, accurate arm, and is elusive when needed.

Downsides (to me) - can sometimes hold the ball too long and get sacked, and also sometimes turns a 5 yard sack into a 15-20 yard sack by trying to escape.

I think his biggest downside is what is between his ears. Not his football IQ which is reportedly very high. It is more his entitlement mentality. He acted immaturely several times this year when things weren't going well and there were no public repercussions from the team. He also one time was on his phone promoting his merchandise from the bench during a game. Again, he was protected.

If he does get drafted very early, it will be to a bad team. How he handles that without the protection of his father will be interesting.

I’m not convinced he’ll be a great pro. Don’t think he’ll be the first one to the complex, last one to leave that you need out of your QB in the NFL. Plus QB drafting is such a crapshoot these days.

Anyways, I’ll be pulling for him, just expect Hunter to have a much better career barring injury.

I think he has ability but one obstacle in his case (IMO) will be adjusting to a set of expectations of certain attitudes and approaches by different coaches on a professional level. Right now all he’s really had is “Daddy Ball”.
