Have we discussed Coach Prime going to Colorado?

Colorado is going to content for the Big XII title next year. How their players finished the USC game was incredible.

Clock management was awful, but Deion definitely changed the culture.
It’s really unbelievable.

Some early miscues and USC is the better team, but they scored 41 and 560 yards on the number 8 team.

I think they easily are a bowl-eligible team this year. Might get to 7 or even 8 wins. What a turnaround.

They were outmatched on both lines, had way less depth, and went down big early. Through all of that they kept fighting. They had freshmen making a ton of NFL level catches. Running backs and Shedeur fighting for yards.

Honestly, Oregon State will be a game. I think they lose to Washington State. Every other game is winnable and I would favor Colorado with Hunter back.

Definitely impressive but I didn't think SC looked all that great last week either.

They’re more talented than Colorado. It was the first time Colorado outperformed better talent.

That’s what I was looking for, because Deion is going to cleanup in the portal and with defensive prospects. If he actually coaches them up, Colorado will be a problem.

I can’t see Colorado’s defense having an answer for Oregon State’s offense, but the Beavs struggle with a fast-paced passing attack. If the O/U is anywhere in the 60’s, I will likely be all over it.

That's stupid. That's a good way to get s*** thrown at you, and needlessly increase interactions with the fans and security, or get some photographer beaned in the head by something.
I agree, but Tebow used to do the same thing and he’s remembered as a good guy.

I wouldn’t do it, and would prefer my players not do that. That’s said, whatever. It’s harmless trash talk and I would imagine he got a lot of crap all game from the students.

I remember sitting down low at Doak going back and forth with Miami players. All in good fun.

Yeah but Iowa has only played football for 125 years. If only they had played 70 like FSU....
It wouldn’t have mattered if Iowa had been playing football for 200 years. Big Ten teams only made two bowl appearances prior to the end of WWII - Michigan in the 1902 Rose Bowl and Ohio State in the 1921 Rose Bowl.

And from 1946 until 1975 the Big Ten only allowed one team to go to a bowl game each year. The champion went to the Rose Bowl and everyone else stayed home, even if they were ranked in the Top 10 like Iowa was in 1953 and 1957 and 1960.

So Iowa didn’t have the luxury of padding their record by playing the likes of Wofford in the Cigar Bowl.

LOL, FSU fans can’t help themselves. They need the confidence boost that comes from sniping on Iowa.

Yeah, FSU played in some bowls prior to 1975, when Iowa was locked out. Prolly the best two were beating Okie in 1964 and a tie vs. Penn State in 1967. Both were with the innovative Bill Peterson, who was an early leader in bringing the pro passing game to college.
Realistically, most of the Noles bowl success happened under Bobby, when Iowa was also bowl eligible.

FSU‘s Bowl Record in Title Games and Big Six games

BCS Championship Game 1-0
Orange Bowl 5-5
Sugar Bowl 4-2
Fiesta Bowl 2-2
Cotton Bowl 1-0
Rose Bowl 0-1
Peach Bowl 2-2

So FSU is 15-12 in the biggest games.

Orange Bowl 1-1
Sugar Bowl 0-0

Rose Bowl 2-4
Peach Bowl 1-1

So Iowa is 4-6 in the biggest games.

Anyone that’s followed college football for any length of time knows that certain schools have an inherent advantage that many others do not; proximity to high school talent.

As much as I bitch about the state of the program and nepotism and the utter complacency in putting an offense on the field, Iowa’s been punching above its weight for a long, long time. God forbid we, on an Iowa board, show a little pride in that and get prickly when the uninvited guests start reminding us that they were born on third base.

Who cares about the past. With Iowa’s defense and special teams they would be a playoff contender every year with an offense that ranked in the 20s nationally. Get BF an NFL OL job somewhere, hire a young innovative OC and join the title club. Iowa would be B1G champs this year if they had a competent OC.
