We live in Ewa Beach neighborhood about 21 miles west of Honolulu and would like to get some Hawk fans together for football games perhaps at Wild Buffalo Wings or another place. I am excited for the season to start and look forward to winning!! Thanks. CR Washington class of 1963

I may be off here by a little bit but isn't an 11 AM kickoff 6 AM out there. BWW probably won't open for a few hours but hey, open up your house and I'm game.

I’ll be in Honolulu starting 12 Aug for up to 3 months. Will have to look you up if I have transportation. Not sure where in Honolulu I’ll be staying.

That was my favorite thing when I lived there. I could watch almost a full day of football and then still have a normal Saturday to do stuff.

Yes the time difference is 5 hours earlier in Hawaii than in Iowa now. After Iowa goes back on standard time on Nov. 4 the difference is only 4 hours. The reason is Hawaii doesn't have daylight time - it would burn the pineapples. Given all of that it still isn't bad this year as Iowa has several later starts already with the times not set for a few games.
Northern ILL. 2:30 ia. time . 9:30 Hawaii time
Iowa st. 4 pm ia. time 11am " "
N. Iowa 6:30 pm ia. time . 1:30 " "
Minn. 2:30 or 3 pm ia. time . 9:30 . " "

As far as the 11 am Iowa time starts; yes it would be 6 am here but I am always up at 5:30 am so it will be scramble GOLD eggs and toast with BLACKberry jam.

It would be nice to find some Hawk fans here to hold a pep rally on the Waikiki beach!! lol

Count me in as long as I can get to the beach. I will be sharing a vechile with 2-3 others. Maybe I can convert them to Hawkeye fans.

I will be in Australia until August 13 so I will contact you soon after to see what we can do. Are you in the military? I am a retired teacher from Des Moines and many military families live in Ewa Beach town. We have had such a warm friendly reception to Hawaii. I play golf once a week and hope to play more in the future. see you.

Sorry but with you being a wash grad i can’t tell if your daylight savings time is a joke or sarcasim.

Yep. Watched the Redskins whip the Broncos in the Super Bowl and was pretty drunk. Went to play racquetball after and played myself sober. Still had time to knock back more cold ones.

Ohau Hawaii Hawkeye party potentially up to 3 people - WOW . I will stay at home and watch the games in comfort. By the way, Wirfs is not as smart as I had hoped. Career on the line and you get drunk and get caught riding a motorcycle. Deathly dopey!!! Hawkeyes don't need drunks!!!

Is Hernado's Hideaway still there right across from FT. Derrusy? That was a great place, sand volleyball and tequila shots. There was also a fantastic Mexican breakfast joint in Makakilo . Someday maybe Ill make it back there .

Hernando's hideaway is still there. I haven't been there yet but our friend owns a fine raman shop near Ala Moana shopping so we gather there.
