Well, the game was technically already sold out. You cannot buy tickets from ticketmaster, only from websites like Stubhub were people are just reselling their tickets. I just went to stubhub and you can stil buy tickets, so I dont think every seat is accounted for yet.

If the ticket is on Stubhub, then by definition it is already accounted for. Just probably won't be the current owners butt in the seat when the foot hits the ball on Saturday night.

It'll be interesting to see how many tickets are for sale outside and how many seats are unoccupied during the game. Hopefully attendance is pretty good and Iowa fans represent more than half of the partisan crowd. I can personally vouch for 7 Iowa fans there, so there's that. :)

Iowa will be well represented. I know a handful of people that have tickets and it is going to be a days travel for them to get there.

Most NFL stadiums are similar to that. They may look huge but they do not hold as many as college stadiums. I believe Soldier field only holds 65,000. Need to remember that their seating is much more comfortable, no benches like Iowa.
great(individual) seats...not the college bench where you can pack in numbers

Interesting, I know the Broncos' Invesco Field is over 76,000 and they could easily sell over a 100k tickets. Wonder why that is.
They have over 63,000 people on the season tix waiting list.

Just curious but where is everyone getting this 40k plus number for Iowa fans? We travel great and there is a ton of excitement for the game I just haven't seen anything about it other than on this site.

Just a guess based on reactions and what not.

I think a more realistic guess is 25,000. Remember a ton of these tickets are being sold in the secondary market to the highest bidder. Also, it's a considerably shorter drive for MSU. 25,000 would be a SOLID turnout.
