Attended tournament in Barrington IL yesterday (Moore-Prettyman), noticed Cory Clark coaching Aurora Christian Academy wrestlers (who knew). Think Cory is connected with both the Academy, and with Izzy Style Wrestling Club (Israel Martinez). ACA very tough in lower and middle weights. Coach Clark has a very talented ball club.

Me thinking new pipeline, you know CC will have those guys coached up and as college ready as possible. I always thought he would make a good coach and it’s good to see him with a talented young program.

Cory Clark is rooted in Iowa; Southeast Polk High School, University of Iowa. The Izzy connection, reminding that Real Woods is an Izzy alumnus. Coach Clark is standup guy, respected in all wrestling circles. Iowa wrestling has friends everywhere.

What kind of ball club?

Coach Clark had two kids who caught my attention, both kids sophomore(s), and both were tournament champions. Devon Casey (113 lbs) and Josh Vazquez (120 lbs). Both kids had dominating performance throughout tournament. This was tough early season tournament (31 teams). Time will tell.
