The schedule was pretty tough but Iowa did not acquit itself on offense very well. Season was okay---I wouldn't give KF bonus for it but Barta did.

Schedule, schedule...blah..blah..blah. This Iowa team was an average Iowa team in almost every way you look at it. Under Kirk, Iowa averages 7-8 wins per year and that's what we do. Next year our schedule is much easier and how will that season go? If you guess 8 wins you will historically have a good chance of being right. I think we will do better than that but again, Kirk's history says 8. Let's hope history gets altered next year and we put up 11 or 12 wins.

This schedule was part of the reason Cowherd reiterated that we "turned 21" this year due to our schedule, going 3-0 out of conference over good bowl teams and QBs, whooping tOSU, and winning our bowl. Not that his endorsement means anything.

Just saw the other day that computers had us as the 5th toughest schedule in the nation. 4 of the top 5 toughest schedules were B1G teams, and the other was Notre Dame (toughest was Maryland's, if you were wondering).
