Hawks in the pros

I havent followed baseball recruiting until recently. Where is Borucki from??

He’s from Illinois. He was committed to Iowa back when Dahm was the coach. Got drafted in 2012 and decided to sign with the Blue Jays. Missed a lot of time his first couple years due to injury, but has moved up the minors pretty quickly. He’s a had a solid career so far. He’s only 24 and has a bright future. Imagine if he had been on the 2015 team at Iowa.

A periodic look at how former Gazette area preps and Iowa Hawkeyes are faring in pro baseball.

Thanks for the update. I noticed Howell was traded last week and saw he had a nice season last year and now is the outfield. He’s the one draft pick that seemed to stick in Heller’s craw after signing.

AAA Tacoma. Part of the Seattle Mariners' organization

How is he 27 already?

This season he is batting .265, 2 HR, and 10 RBI
