A win is a win but there were times they looked really bad. They need to play a lot better for Nova.
It isn't being a fair weather fan to see Iowa piss away 20 wins the last 3 years because of what amounts to being mind-numbing play down the stretch in games.
Sometimes teams are what they are. And it is FACT Iowa has indeed lost around 20 games via agonizing, baffling, soul crushing for fans play late in games in recent years.
That isn't fair weather at all. That being said, glad they won, bring on Villanova.

If the ball had not gone in could we have got a basket interference when the Temple player swiped the net trying to block the shot?
By rule, sure. But not a prayer it would have been called.
They are as likely to call that as they are a foul on a deep three pointer at the buzzer.........oh, wait.
But yeah, they're NEVER going to call basket interference in that situation.
At that point the refs were just letting them play so no I don't think goal tending would have been called.

Gesell isn't the only one who suffers from the late game hiccups. I utterly am amazed Woody didn't get called for a shove there, cause that's The Script for this team.
