The ref’s were partially to blame for that. If Illinois wants to foul at the end like the did they have to call the foul. Not just stand looking at them thinking “I’m going to ignore this and allow him to HACK away for 4 seconds and let the game end”. Sure, IL should have backed off but if the want to foul the ref has to blow the whistle!
Connor is awesome if you are a hawk fan, at least when fans aren’t saying he doesn’t belong in the court and should stick to baseball. For every other team in college basketball, massive douche.
illannoy asst. coach barked at Fran in handshake line and Fran didn't take kindly to it. He barked back, then told all his players to skip it and head straight to lockerroom. Connor handled the hacking at the end well I thought, wresting control of the ball until the buzzer, then simply walking back to the bench. Yeah they had their chance to get the steal on the inbounds, but when the Hawks successfully passed out of the double team, it was over. Illini shoulda backed off at that point

Illinois was total bush league at the end of the game, which is unfortunate because it was a good game up till that point.

Are you implying this is a bad thing??
If Weezy wouldn’t have dunked, Illinois would have fouled and the Hawks woulda been going to the line. The game wasn’t put away, so there was no reason for them to get butthurt over the dunk, if that did in fact happen
