Mr. B told The Gazette that he's ready for a couple more night games at Kinnick in 2016, so what do you think they should be?

I would suggest Wisconsin on Oct. 22 and Michigan on Nov. 12. Homecoming vs. NW on Oct. 1 would be another option and, perhaps, ISU on Sept. 10 (primarily because it's likely to be 90 degrees that day.)

So whaddaya think?

You are somewhat rolling the dice scheduling night games in November in Iowa. We got really, really lucky this last year with unseasonably warm weather for the Minny night game but I'm not sure if I would want to tempt fate too many times. September and October games tend to make more sense and the earlier in October, the better. I would go with ISU and either NW or Wisky for night games. The Meechigan game on Nov. 12th may be an early B!G championship matchup so it probably won't need a night slot to generate a lot of buzz and interest.

It won't be Iowa State. After 2002 debauchery, I don't think we would ever agree to start later than 230. Northwestern is out as somehow a night game screws up homecoming--I can't tell you how, but it does.

I'm kinda thinking the same Wis and ISU. Would love the MI game to be night game, but as mentioned you never know what the weather is gonna be in mid november or how hot the weather may be in september. Especially with this damn el nino :).

If the cold gave us an advantage I'd say go for it, but don't think its gonna help much against michigan.

Iowa State, NW or wisconsin are probably your best bets. Wouldn't be shocked to see BTN make Iowa's conference opener at Rutgers in primetime.

I would go with ISU and Wisconsin. November nights can be plenty cold.
I'm guessing the fans who watch the games only on TV are all for November night games while those who attend the games would prefer Sept and Oct night games. I'm not saying it is 100% this way but is generally true.

IMO, all night games should be trophy games. Additionally and for myself, I would not give Jim H/MI any free prime-time PR and providing the airtime for the announcers to slobber over themselves comparing Jimmy to Bo jr, but in khaki pants. Harbaugh is no different than Jake from State Farm.

Or, one of games go to NDSU, providing they reduce their payday by 50% for the free national exposure. Actually we are paying them to be on a national broadcast. Yes, bigger than than their FCS championship game.

Can't imagine the administration would ever agree to ISU at night after the near-riot of 2002.

When the crowd gets more time to tailgate, it's often louder, and more into the game early and often. I like that electric crowd and that night time mystique of Kinnick against big opponents. Michigan at night, if it's in November, so be it.

I attended the Minny night game. It was nippy, but not bad. And no, we can't predict or control the weather, but 60,000 or so did show up in Minneapolis last weekend to watch the Vikings lose in a game that was zero at kickoff with wind chills running around minus 20. Not likely to have anything close to that on Nov. 12. But ideally, I'd like night games to be in September and no later than mid-October. Unfortunately, the best games often do not fall into those time frames.

I agree to have Wisc and Mich as night game, but from a marketing perspective it might be a good idea to have a "sub par" game at night also. I think having one of our non-conference games as a night game might get more fan excitement and raise the attendance

This...........although, I would prefer 2:30 games to Night games. Sorry, but I've never understood the big deal with Night games, If we get more exposure, OK, I'll go along, but other than that, give the best time.........2:30.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we typically we have to have a tv provider lined up to schedule a night game? I thought in the past espn/abc have been scared to schedule iowa too far ahead in a night game, so the only shot is to line up btn well ahead of time. If we wait it out, that is when we get a good night abc match-up if we are highly ranked and one of the best games of the week, but usually we don't know too far in advance. Am I remembering correctly?

Michigan could be a Game Day game. It could be realistic that both teams come in undefeated. A night game would be electric.

I'd say Wisconsin as well.

Yes, icu8122 -- A glance at the schedule shows that it is at least conceivable that Iowa could be 9-0 heading into the November clash with Michigan. I didn't bother to check UM's schedule, but the hype machine says they're gonna be awesome, so a battle of unbeatens, or even 8-1 teams, would be huge.

BTW: If Iowa were to enter the Michigan game 9-0, the Hawkeyes would be riding a 21-game regular season unbeaten streak (that's enough to frazzle the brain), and a 14-game Big Ten winning streak. We're getting way ahead of ourselves. We know. But that's what fans do. And after this season, we know this kind of thing really could happen. So buckle up and let's see if KF can handle great expectations, no matter when they set the kickoffs.
