I think we need to find some empathy for people that have been radicalized by misinformation. I am not quite sure how best to go about debating individuals that are so desperately locked in on a viewpoint. When the proof is predetermined, connections will get made that are not there.
For example, there is a really obvious reason people would have changed their Linkedin profile and it is not ominous even a little bit. When you are chasing ghosts though, the obvious is missed, and instead alternate facts are presented that align with one's alternate reality. What is offered as proof is really just proof of an obtuse viewpoint.

No empathy or sympathy for these people from me. It's willful ignorance. They weren't tricked by Satan. They believed what they wanted to believe. And they've made others miserable for it. I don't care if they suffer embarrassment or ostracism. They deserve worse and most will get off easy.
This thread should never die and live on to become a warning for future generations.
