I'll take your word that there are variations. I provided two examples that look nearly identical to Elon's. One a current neo-nazi who performed the EXACT same salute. And the other's was Hitler himself.
But fee free to keep checking my spelling for victories while trying to defend his nazi salute.
BTW, I tend to not capitalize certain words as well so you can add that to your list.

As I mentioned on page one Hitler doesn't place the palm of his hand, fingers splayed, over his heart and hold it there for several beats. Rather he snaps his hand, with hand straight and fingers tight together, closer to his collar bone and then diagonally outward. Nor does he thrust his shoulder back like Elon.
There's no excuse for Eloon. Quit embarrassing yourself.

I pointed out 5 distinct differences between Elon's gesture and Hitler's salute and you seized upon one to mock. Again, very weak sauce.
Are they significant differences? Are you going to find variances between exact hand placement and positions between known nazis doing a nazi salute?
Do you guys consider these actual swastikas? Some of the angles aren’t 90 degrees and the paint in the bottom one is a little thicker. I think these must mean “Best wishes” or something.

As far as authentic Nazis I don't know of any footage of Nazis doing what Elon did. As far as Nazi Numero Uno I pointed out above five differences I noticed.
And incidentally I've never heard any Nazi say "My heart goes out to you."

At work I wouldn't be doing this in a vacuum. It would of course depend upon many factors surrounding me, the situation, and those in attendance. Had I said pro-Nazi or pro-Jewish things before? How about previous actions, good or bad? Did I say anything that was affectionate or hateful at the time? Ultimately I think it would come down to how many people liked or disliked me OR were at least willing to give me the benefit of the doubt.
