Hoiberg turned down the Nebraska job

So whats up with Tim Miles? They got ran, but no word on him today.

The president of the university resigned or stepped down yesterday. I’m sure that news took all chances of Moos making a decision or at least announcing it.

Family members in Nebraska say wait a day or two and it will be announced. They don’t know if Hoiberg is the next coach. A lot of rumors and insiders saying it’s a done deal.

Copeland, Palmer, Watson gone and it looks like the Robey kid will either transfer or declare for the draft? Reading where they think he played his last game as a Husker. Hopefully Nunge can be an Iowa version of him. Kid has taken major strides at Nebraska.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Looks like a dumpster fire over there with fans ready to forget their MBB exists until next January when the football season is over.

Can their athletic director make the call on his own without having a President to sign off on the MBB hire/fire?

The President is still here for 6 more months. He only announced he was leaving yesterday.

I do find your comment about fans waiting for football season quite comical considering we are top 10 in attendance for all of college hoops, even with a shitty program.

We have one of the nicest arenas, facilities, and fan support in the country and will be paying Hoiberg 3-4 million a year with one of the top assistant coaching pools in the country. Get your laughs in now, Nebraska just put on their big boy pants in men’s basketball for the first time and have the resources and infrastructure in place for a great coach to have huge success.

Do you by chance also know any of the following?

* TV ratings for your games?
* Quality of the tap water in Lincoln?
* Enrollment (or perhaps growth rate of enrollment)?

The Nebraska MBB program has definitely put the money there. Will be interesting either way.

Even with Fred, the success wont come instantly. His supporting coaching staff will be key.

"This is going to make the natves restless since coaching at Nebraska is such a "destination and dream job"
Coming from and Iowa fan...a joke right!

settle down Corky, we heard all you cornhusker fans spouting off about Nebraska and their mighty power when you joined the B1G and you've been nothing but a punching bag in football and basketball since leaving the Big 8. Until you prove otherwise, you're all talk and no substance for the past couple decades in football and pretty much for your entire existence in basketball. Your buffoon of an AD claimed we were all running scared when Scott Frost was named your new coach and savior. I suspect you'll think we'll do the same in basketball if Hoiberg is named the coach. While hiring Hoiberg would be a nice step for Nebraska and turning around the fortunes of a basketball program can happen much quicker than football, I'd still ask that you guys actually do something relevant and meaningful before acting all high and mighty, but that is probably asking too much from Nebraska fans. You might want to become diaper trained before putting on those big boy pants.

Oh God. Here we go again, look out we are going to be great next year.

Did they release the attendance figures for this year yet? They made top 10 in 2015 so I guess that counts..... to you

No, they haven't released figures for this year that I'm aware of and Nebraska hasn't ranked in the top 10 for attendance the past three years that records are available. Typical Nebraska fan boasting about things that didn't happen.
