home fire pits

I usually just turn out the lights in the kitchen and pull up a lawn chair

I have a Solo Stove fire pit. Once it is going, it burns hot and without smoke. When it’s done, let it sit overnight and dump a handful of powdery white ash. The only problem with it is it goes through wood fast.

I have a flame genie which I think is similar. It does a nice initial burn for 30-40 minutes but then gets a little high maintenance after that. I have to add pellets every 5-10 minutes to keep a good flame. But very minimal smoke and the next day I dump about a cup of ash put it back in the bag and on the shelf.

Mine burns regular logs. Not a big deal, but can easily burn through 3 bundles of Hy Vee firewood in an evening. Really nice after the first 10 minutes.
