Does anyone know where we actually stack up compared to the rest of B1G? I figured we’d be somewhere in the middle to top 3rd of conference but everyone acts like we’re in the cellar. Does anyone actually have any idea?

We should spend what we have on D and OL. Give Phil some athletes and he’ll fix the D and we’ll be back to our old ways there next season.

I actually think we have talent at QB, WR and RB that Lester can develop. Don’t trust Barnett to do the same so bring in a couple of stud OL and we’ll be back in contention for a playoff spot next year.

I always have to question the perspective of Iowa fans when they say things like "Give Phil some athletes and he'll fix the D"....

The D ain't broke. The D this year is giving up less than 18 points per game which is good for 11th in the country.

The biggest problem with Iowa's defense this year is how dominant they have been in prior years. Iowa fan's expectations of having a top 5 squad every year are completely unrealistic. I agree that next year will be a rebuild however given all of the departures. A top 20 defense will be a huge accomplishment with all of the new faces.

It just feels like they’ve taken some steps back. Just not as dominant as we’re used to so you’re probably right on why it feels that way
