OT question, but does anyone think that Lachey may use that medical redshirt from last season to return?
I’ve keyed in on him when he’s been in the game and I’ve thought he’s looked good. A bit undersized perhaps, but shows good feet and upper body strength. Looks like he has some of that “nasty” to him too, like Rob Bruggeman.Nice to see him getting some reps. That guy’s career has been plagued with injuries
Myslinski had great HS film and high expectations coming into the program. Had very good offers, also. He certainly has potential and yes, that nasty streak was evident on his HS film.I’ve keyed in on him when he’s been in the game and I’ve thought he’s looked good. If Elsbury comes back, they should have really good depth at the interior line positions with him and Stephens, Pieper, Leighton Jones, Myslinksi, Borud and maybe a youngster or two. Could be similar to when they rotated Lightfoot and Sobieski at guard in 2002.
I still think that there will be an issue as to where he's placed in terms of draft-positioning. Given the track record of what has happened to to Iowa's O-linemen in the past ... when they follow the advice of the coaches, it usually benefits their wallet. If Kirk things that the projections are about as good as they can get ... he won't hesitate to urge Dunker to go. However, if he thinks that Dunker can still considerably help his draft-stock ... then he'll tell him that too.😳. Wow! Had no idea.

Dunker didn’t get a ton of playing time last year. I would just think that NFL teams would be cautious of picking a guy high in the draft that has one good year under his belt at the college level. 🤷♂️I still think that there will be an issue as to where he's placed in terms of draft-positioning. Yeah, you are right.Dunker started 13 games at right tackle last year.
He was hurt for some games. Don't think he started all 13. I recall DeJong being out there at right tackle quite a bit.Dunker started 13 games at right tackle last year.
4 of 5. Good jobI think the starters will be:
LT - Trevor Lauck
LG - Leighton Jones
C - Kade Pieper
RG - Cade Borud
RT - Gennings Dunker
Jones and Lauck are going to be really good.Yep....total miss by me.
LT - Lauck
LG - Stephens

That's a pretty decent OL
I didn’t say he hasn’t done it… I’m saying I don’t think he’s crazy about it. Iowa likes to develop its own linemen ….Not true as I believe KF has brought in at least two and maybe three OL who had only one year to play.
What about Beau Stephens ? He will definitely start. The guy is a road grader.4 of 5. Good job
