1. He’s just that stupid
2. He truly doesn’t want to win and plans to catch the next flight to Moscow
3. He’s a genius and expertly working the “psychology” of the electorate within a razor’s edge of a general election victory.

He didn’t say “shoot the press,” he said he wouldn’t mind if a shooter had to shoot through the “fake news” to try to get to him. Big difference! CoNTeXt!!!!

I will admit, “Shoot the Press” would get much biglier ratings than “Meet the Press.”
Maybe compromise and do “Slap the Press?” I’ve always wanted to land one across Morley Safer’s ugly mug.
