To an extent I agree with that, which is certainly a reason why a team like Michigan's overall winning % is also inflated. However, Iowa under Fry was one of the first teams to break their strong hold on the conference. Now while Michigan has gone down somewhat, other programs (such as Wisky and MSU) who have upped their games.
I am going to try and get this discussion back to the original question: How did Bo Pelini go 3-1 against Iowa. The simple answer is that they scored more points than Iowa in 3 of the games. My other theories is that he intimidated the refs more or he screamed at his players more. Maybe he intimidated the fans into cheering for the team. He could have had the field sloping differently to fool our players. I know it's a conspiracy theory, just like the Scooter Frosty is the coming of the Mesiah for Nebby fans. There, I talked about the original topic and brought Frosty into the conversation.

Yeah you've really proved that since joining the big 10. 3-4 against lowly Iowa and outscored by a large margin. I wish Iowa could have played in the Big 12 North and the pillow fights that division had from 2000 to 2010.
Seriously if my team had lost 3 straight and completely dominated the last 2 years and just went 4-8 last season the last thing in the world I would be doing is squawking on other teams boards. But this just proves the arrogance and naivety of Husker fans.

I love when Nebby fans spout their record while playing in a freaking conference where you had to basically win 1 game a year...Oklahoma. Lets rehash were some of these programs were in the 70s, 80, 90s

KSU- awful to the point where they were going to get rid of football all together until Snyder
ISU- awful
Colorado- awful until late 80s/early 90s
OSU- decent talent but never great teams
Mizzu- dreadful
Oklahoma- good to great
So they had to basically beat OU and not blow it in the other games. Congrats on that.

As for last line yeah go to other teams boards there are plenty of threads on other teams. ISU has plenty of anti Iowa ones, Michigan has negative OSU, MSU etc. You are truly ignorant and naive to think otherwise.
Never said you didnt earn it. You won the games that were on your schedule then. But, you have to admit that conference left a lot to be desired during the time of your prominence.
Iowa’s should win the game this year. What was Iowa’s record for the 1st year of the king Ferentz’s tenure? If they don’t, it may a long time til they win another one. Good Luck. gbr

Did you see Iowa fans going around bragging about him his first year talking about how he'd dominate? No. Were Iowa fans spouting off to other teams fan after the season they just had when he came in, no. See the difference here? Please provide facts very few Nebraska fans care about Iowa since you are all about facts. Nebraska fans post here more than any other fan base. I've heard my friend who is an nebraska fan use that exact same phrase last year after talking about what Ohio St did to you guys and fan bases all across America have had fans use it.
